Need help post menopause

Ridgeville, SC, Us

We just started having this "problem" but the wife is not post menopause yet. It seems as the change started her desire did not change but we noticed a few odd things that needed checked out. She turned out to have thyroid issues (just diagnosed recently) and while being treated (and they just readjusted med dosages) lost a lot of her desire. She still wants it but not nearly as much as before she started treatment and would like to get back to the point she was at before. She did mention this to her Gyno at her yearly appointment and she suggested (and we were already of this mindset) we wait till the thyroid is where it needs to be and levels out then we can work on that problem. Kind of a one thing at a time deal. That of course leaves me to research things as I have the time for when we get to that point.

I said this so you know you are not alone in this and as mentioned by others there are treatments (the wife is currently not on any yet but wants to be). The best suggestion is to talk with a doctor and if needed find another until you get one who understands the problem and offers to work towards a solution.

One last: There is plenty of research showing the link between pH and cancer. Cancer thrives in an acidic environment, and doesn't survive in an normal, more alkaline environment. Cancer cells make your body even more acidic as they produce lactic acid. So if you have cancer, your pH levels are low and your body is too acidic.

Taking action to make your body more alkaline is vital in the battle against cancer. Unfortunately...

The majority of the foods and drinks we consume are acidic, such as meat, grains and sugar, with colas and other soft drinks being highly acidic. So unless you have been eating a very healthy diet, full of fresh fruit and vegetables, your body is way too acidic. Creating a very good environment for cancer to grow in.

Actually, too much acidity is an underlying factor in many degenerative diseases -- diabetes, arthritis, fibromyalgia and more. A basic maxim of natural physicians is: Balance the Bioterrain. Do this first, then everything can come back to normal.

also:

Add chlorophyll-based foods and drinks to your daily diet. Dark, green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale, herbs like dill and parsley, and sea vegetables offer both immune-boosting and detoxifying properties.
Use lemons to alkalize the body. In natural form, lemon can be acidic, but when combined with water, it becomes a source of mineral salt compounds. Squeeze one-quarter of a fresh lemon into two cups of lukewarm water for refreshing drinks throughout the day.
Consume root vegetables such as onions, leeks, sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets to better absorb calcium through their inulin content. Inulin supports good gut bacteria to help lower pH levels.
Stay away from refined sugar-based products as the body’s stored alkaline minerals are needed to safely excrete the highly acidic urine these foods and beverages can produce. This includes soda, aspartame-rich products, and fructose additives.
Choose protein from plants rather than animals. Limit red meat intakes to four ounces per serving.
Exercise regularly and practice proper breathing techniques to help relieve tension, anxiety, and stress, which trigger the release of hormones that produce high levels of acidity.

FYI only do more research:

Urinary system: Encompassing the kidneys, the ureter, the urethra, and the bladder, the urinary system can facilitate the loss of alkaline minerals in the presence of high-acid levels. The system will draw alkaline from the bones, tissues, and organs and transfer it into the bloodstream to compensate, which can lead to excruciating kidney stones.

Immune system: Maintaining a balanced pH level could serve to direct pathogens away from the immune system. High levels of acid may lead the microorganisms to settle in hidden areas. Modern medical treatments such as drugs, surgery, and chemical radiation can hinder the body’s natural healing response.

Pain

The inflammation that leads to pain may be triggered by the consumption of foods high in acidity. Processed, high-fat, and junk foods appear to be most damaging. The alkaline content in healthy foods could potentially adjust the pH balance to a more stable state by detoxifying the body.

Blonde.. get urine/ pee strips and check your alkaline level daily.. it needs to be high to fight all infections and it works.. high PH fights infections etc in everyone's body.. change entire diet and add many good vitamins daily including turmeric it will help.. its not going to get easier as you age.

My wife is post having started very early, about 43. She doesn’t have the desire she used to like mentioned, but does have some. Our biggest problem is UTIs. Seems like at least once a month she gets one. I’m careful, no anal, pees after, showers after, but still. Urologist tested for bacteria in bladder, treats with ABs that she has to go on too often!

Over a couple of years my wife started losing the desire also. Well after going to a specialty Dr that deals with both women and men she got on some estrogen and testosterone that she has injected with pellets every 3 to 4 months. Big turn around and now she can't get enough sex. Look for clinics that specialize in low T. Most regular Dr and even gynecologist have no clue. They had my wife on all the wrong stuff.

If your wife is truly the age you have posted for her in your profile and has no underlying health history, she should speak with her physician about this issue. I went thru an early menopause myself after a medical complication and went on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and within a month, I was back to my old self!
