"We are waiting till the virus passes. Some think it doesn’t exist, but we do."
I have to ask: Where on this planet are you finding some who think it does not exist?

Now that the government has quarantined individuals from the Grand Princess cruise ship in our area, it is very real (US Marshalls standing at the gates of the compound to prevent locals going in, or patients walking out). Silicon Valley is one of the hot spots in the nation, people from there travel to our area all the time. Local papers give a daily tally on the increase in confirmed cases, along with the death tally to date. We have friends globally: Asia, Eurasia, Europe, South America. Its a very real problem.
We are surprised that a lot of parties still being hosted, although we are starting to see cancellations. People locally are starting to mention taking a break, as we are.
HFT: I’d druther watch the impeachment........... you can’t get it if it isn’t real.

Lets all get Coronavirus, then we can fuck each other to death. DA!
Still not remotely worried about it
I see these posts are a few days old.... I'm hoping some minds have changed regarding "the hype" now is not a good time to go out licking strangers, stay home and have a cookie you'll be much better off.
So, in theory, if I am getting a blow job and I pass COVID-19 to the sweet lady, I just gave her and STD?
lol

HavingFunTogether2113 I agree with you as far as the hype however it is real and just as much a concern as the flu or getting a cold or at least should be. From what I understand it is basically a viral pneumonia which by comparison is the complication from having the flu (or a lot of other things) that is the real killer. However unlike getting pneumonia as a result of having something else (I got it from a bad bronchitis one time) it actually is the initial infection and happens to be fairly contagious. Of course since I posted this the US has gone nuts with schools closing and what not which I consider an overreaction based on the hype but the reality is we need to be aware of it and take it into account with all our interactions with others. As such it turns out the same precautions used against the flu or colds also works for COVID-19 (and other corona strains). With it still being flu and cold season as well as many people with sinuses and allergies it is reasonable to expect some folks are already taking extra precautions they may not during summer when such things are dormant. I'm just wondering what if any extra are people doing and have found the answers very enlightening so far especially how someone who owns a dungeon has taken precautions by closing it because they are not willing to risk not having sanitized enough or someone coming in and unknowingly infecting others. Keep in mind this is infectious before symptoms appear or become noticeable.
The point is that it is a false analogy.
Civility. Kindness. Please do not lose these things.
Peace.
Rustic, to answer your post. IT'S CALLED MOB PHYCOLOGY, People are like sheep and goats they love to get fucked. Please, stop the Coronavirus FRAUD on T V. It is not like SMALLPOX. On T V, I would rather watch and hear about the IMPEACHMENT and Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler, ET AL. If this were real 10's of millions of Chinese would have died. China is physically a FILTHY COUNTRY. GET OVER IT, IT'S A FRAUD.
"Um. There's a vaccine for the mumps."
People can be fully vaccinated and not develop antibodies. Or they go through chemo and radiation and are suddenly not immune to anything anymore. Chronically ill and take harsh meds? Yeah, you may not be as up to date as you think you are.
Happened to one of our kids. If you want to know for sure if you're immune to something there's a vaccine for and you had that vaccine, have your titers checked.
Esperanza911 no really? I mean it's not like there is a percentage of people who get that (or generally any) vaccine and still get the virus. Everyone in the family is fully up to date on their shots and some of us have had more than the normal ones although one of mine needs a booster but since I retired my exposure to that is negligible. Even though my daughter was fully up to date the doctor she saw said not to go anywhere but directly home and wait for test results. Our state's department of health also called and said the same thing. Oh and her work was informed of the possibility and she was not allowed to return until cleared. But she had been vaccinated. So with all of that might it be possible that medical professionals were concerned that despite her being vaccinated she still may have gotten them?
Um. There's a vaccine for the mumps.
Single_again1960 if you are referring to us we have never said that is it nothing to worry about but have taken the stance the same precautions we use during flu and cold season are enough in our opinion. Condoms are also a precaution we use but not in regards to cold and flu or even this virus prevention. Of course just recently we had a Mumps scare with our daughter (turns out it was something else) but the college in the city has had several cases and it spread to 2 local high schools. Thankfully not the one she works at but then the college she graduated from in May (180 miles away) also had a few reported cases but none anywhere else in the state. Thing is the Mumps are contagious before you show symptoms much like I understand COVID-19 is. In other words someone can be contagious with no outward symptoms (and this holds true for a lot of other things). The point is if you take standard precautions you reduce but do not remove your risk in regards to all sorts of potential infections. The only way to remove the risk of becoming infected with something is living your life in a bubble. It is up to the individual (or couple in our case) to determine where the acceptable risk is between being in a bubble and walking into level 5 viral containment naked.
Good news in all this is that the restaurants around here which are usually jam packed have been easy to get into. Works for us !
@BillJenn Is it really high risk though? For the majority of the world, it's nothing more than cold symptoms. If it wasn't for idiots buying up all the groceries, we wouldn't even care. I'd say the majority of people don't care about actually catching it, but more of it making them stay home and miss work/school
To further explain, if people were that scared, they wouldn't be going anywhere for any hot date
Single_again1960 you make good points but I would hope the ball gag had been sterilized between uses which would also get rid of the Coronavirus. I also hope you clean and sterilize other forms of equipment between sessions or even between use on different people in the same session. Then again I am not letting anyone gag me and tie me up but that is because it is not my thing. Oh and sneezing or coughing in close quarters is a bit of a concern at any time however intimate contact regardless of a viral outbreak or not increases the risk of disease transmission (as you well know). The thing is while I agree with your decision to close your dungeon and limit contact with others for the health of yourself and friends the same prevention methods for colds and the flu also work for the entire family of Coronaviruses.
Single again, do you close it during the flu season?
Not remotely worried about it
More specifically the COVID-19 strain. Regardless of whether you think it is all hype and nothing to worry about or that it is the next Black Plague you have to admit as of today in the US it is forcing people to change plans. I personally know people who alternate partying in New Orleans for Mardi Gras or Savannah for St. Patrick's Day. Well news came down that Savannah is postponing events as are many other places so definitely at least fears of the virus and actions taken by officials are putting a damper of things. Of course other events and activities are being affected as well. It also remains to be seen what other precautions will be "forced" on us that may further alter our plans and activities (I hear one cruise ship line is considering stopping cruises till May and there are airline travel bans). While it is technically not an STD it is affecting some people's sex life and plans. My question is are you taking any "extra" precautions in regards to this and your sexual activities or are you pretty much doing things as normal?
Our answer is that we are pretty much doing things as normal for us. We attended a party last week and are looking forward to the next one when it gets listed. We also plan to meet up with friends for some play time soon and do not plan to ask anyone to bathe in sanitizer or anything. That said it might be fun to take a group decontamination shower but sadly we know of none big enough for that LOL. In all seriousness the same precautions we take during cold and flu season should keep us safe from this so in reality we don't see the need to do anything differently.
