Which means Trump still won't understand it...

PHX and I are on a somewhat similar belief system here.

The reason why the republicans are pushing very hard for a fast vote on everything is that the longer it takes to get that vote, the more time there is to find shit out. If they find shit out and build a compelling case, if it hits the senate with 60% of the public wanting to impeach, then it will be very interesting. Will there be enough that the public gets to watch and see and thus kick it up to 70%? Because as I said, once it hits up in that range, it is no longer a vote of courage by the senators, they can hide under the guise that is a vote for the will of the people.

I am still sitting back and just waiting. Let the house do their job. There will be some leaks. There will be leaks on both sides to persuade the public sentiment.

I think Pelosi is going to take a lesson from the criminal court system. It's very hard to convict of white collar crimes because most people can't understand it. So she is going to put out maybe 3 things and use the KISS principal. Citizens, on the whole, are not that smart to understand complex shit. She needs to get it so that an '8th grade reading level' can understand it.

Andrew Napolitano:

"As frustrating as it [is] to have the hearings going on behind closed doors...they are consistent w/the rules...When were the rules written last? In Jan. 2015. & who signed them? John Boehner. & who enacted them? A Republican majority."

ONEHELL----->Two weeks ago I would have said you’re 100% correct. But I believe the armor may have started to crack. Just a little. As of today I will agree with you 85%.

I'd throw in with the 85% point of view. As with anything it's a two edge sword. One side says President Trump has an ~90% approval among Republicans. So you can imagine the Skin Politician spin on voting against that. I'm not sure "the good of the country" vote would be enough to keep them in office. On the other hand you have the Jeff Flakes (retired), John McCain (dead), Pierre Delecto's and Lindsey Graham's of the Senate world. They are happy being the minority party making long winded speeches on the floor of the Senate but not actually accomplishing much of anything. They aren't in it for the job or the people, it's only about prestige and ego to them.

The wild card? Moscow Mitch. Does he abandon the Judiciary Appointments that could happen in a Trump second term for being just the Minority Leader? My best guess at this point and based on little to no actual evidence from the Shirts, Moscow Mitch is more about a Judiciary Appointment Legacy than Legislative Legacy. How is the Notorious RBG health these days?

It depends entirely on the ability of Trump and his crony's ability to keep it together.

And it doesn't look too good right about now.

Approval is trending downward and desire to impeach it trending upward.

Yep and with the continued shenanigans his chances increase greatly.

“So enjoy the short game. Come November next year there will be another what happened how did he win tour”..

I have said many times here that Trump has a very good chance of winning next November.

Irondequoit, NY, Us

@Fredo, “Ball licker- you know whats even funnier is trump won’t be impeached in the senate”.

Wait wait wait. I’m the window licker. You’re the ball licker.

Of course Trump will not be impeached in the senate. He gets impeached in the house. And acquitted of the charges in the senate.

Two weeks ago I would have said you’re 100% correct. But I believe the armor may have started to crack. Just a little. As of today I will agree with you 85%. And I am not positive that his welder is getting sick of the overtime he has been putting in?

Merrick Garland- Your trying to compare a political appointee who was not even confirmed. To a sitting president who was elected and now the most recent precedents are not being used.

Apples and oranges.

Ball licker- you know whats even funnier is trump won’t be impeached in the senate

So enjoy the short game. Come November next year there will be another what happened how did he win tour..

“ Yes and having equal rights to call witnesses like previous impeachment processes“.

Lmao

LOL

OK Baghdad Bob

After all the rule breaking and norm trashing the Republicans have done over the past decade, and you are whining about the fairness of the process?

Why don't you go have a beer with Merrick Garland and you can compare notes...

fred1697Veteran

Yes and having equal rights to call witnesses like previous impeachment processes.

tbrmskssVeteran

LOL

OK Baghdad Bob.

There are committee members from both parties present at all questioning before the committees.

fred1697Veteran
Myrtle Beach, SC, Us

Not talking about that. Taling about house members from both parties being present. Though during the start of the Nixon Process there was a bipartisan committee formed to question witness. Clinton each party was represented.

Like I said. Dems can use their Johnson impeachment model. It will cost them at the polls.

tbrmskssVeteran

LOL

OK Baghdad Bob.

So Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton (and Richard Nixon, if you want to include him) were involved in the initial questioning of witnesses?

You have a picture of Tricky Dick sitting next to John Dean as he recounts tell Dick that there was a cancer on the Presidency?

Funny. I watched it live and didn't see him anywhere...

“It doesn’t work that way”

It worked that way in previous impeachment investigations.

So it does work that way. The Dems chose for it not to work that way.

This will cost the Dems at the polls. Trump thanks the leaders of the useful idiots .

By the way I said tribunal style. Not tribunal.

Tribunals can be a party of a dispute. Which Dems are.

Tribunals are used to deal with specific matters. Which impeachment is.

Irondequoit, NY, Us

@Fredo, “ Personally I think your trying to spin why the leaders of the useful idiots are not following the precedents set by previous impeachment inquires”.

No spin. They do not need to! Plain and simple. Like your thinking.

“I know they make the rules”.

If you know they make the rules? Why are you questioning it?

“that still doesn’t change they are running a tribunal style investigation compared to previous impeachment investigations”.

In your opinion. That is all that is.

“Well since you brought it up you licked any balls lately”??

I don’t know where you are getting your thinking? It must be coming from your first hand experiences. But being bi curious does not mean that you want to suck someone’s balls. Tell us about your experience Fredo?

tbrmskssVeteran
San Diego, CA, Us

LOL.

Ok Baghdad Bob.

At this stage of the process, there is no tribunal.

You want the defense and the jury to be involved in the investigation.

It doesn't work that way...

Santa Barbara, CA, Us

Why do I sense that I am watching a special Olympics participant trying to compete with the league teams?

Oh the irony . . .

The ~20 Republican Congressmen wanting their 15 minutes of fame barged into a closed deposition. Screaming ATTICA, ATTICA . . . no wait . . . sorry. They were screaming that it's a partisan hack and that the Republicans were not getting the info. Interestingly, half the attendees at the deposition were democrats and the other half . . . republicans.

I guess the republicans are the new woke, snowflake, entitled crowd. But I guess they would also go into a grand jury testimony in the DC circuit and state that they needed to be there as well.

This is beyond comical. A bunch of people trying to play the distraction game and trying hard to shoot down the process that THEY CREATED saying it's unfair. What an entitled bunch of whiny little shits.

fred1697Veteran

Personally I think your trying to spin why the leaders of the useful idiots are not following the precedents set by previous impeachment inquires. I know they make the rules. Fine that still doesn’t change they are running a tribunal style investigation compared to previous impeachment investigations.

An accused has the right against self incrimination.

But he has no right to be involved in the process of investigation.

Irondequoit, NY, Us

Truthfully I don’t think you even know what is going on procedurally or what the steps in all of this are. You are just using GOP talking points. And insulting people. You just happen to be a week to ten days behind the rest of the GOP on your talking point. But you keep thinking what you want.

Blind faithful ball licking idiot.
