I don't love that my own government knows more about me than my mother ever did and think Facebook and it's ilk are the devil, but China? China is another order of magnitude worse than Zuckerberg.

The reason they are crying to ban tik tok is because its full of people that are fully awake and speaking Fact and truth. FACT.

@onehell, no doubt. It's scary how much of our lives are in the phones. And I also assume they have most of the info already but I just try to look mit it as much as possible.

I swear our phones are constantly listening to our conversations. I can talk about wood fire pizza ovens. Within hours I’m getting emails and IG hits from oven companies. Use google maps, or any other navigation system? Someone someplace knows your location.

I don’t t think we have to worry about China. We’re doing it to ourselves.

Don’t fool yourself. Plenty of other people/organizations/governments have this same information. Long before dancing grannies at the home videos filled the screens

Those keylogger once installed via the app do not only capture keystrokes while using TikTok - it captures every keystroke on your device be it your phone or PC. The keylogger is a silent install in the background and records every keystroke input by the user on the device installed.

TikTok isn't dangerous because of its videos - or if it is, you should be bleating about banning YouTube , Instagram, and Facebook as well - but because it's an insidious, friendly seeming incursion by the Chinese government that is grabbing allllll the personal data, something valuable if your aim is to upend the West in favor of China, which has pretty much been China's aim for at least the last 150 years.

The CEO’s kids are 8 and 6. So I doubt they would be using the app a tremendous amount if allowed. I’m sure there are 6 and 8 year olds using the app in the States. But I’m willing to bet it is a fairly small percentage of the app’s users. Just my guess.

I am also guessing the CEO and his wife don’t use the TV/monitor/smart phone as a babysitter the way a lot of parents in the US do.

UPDATE: I watched the entire hearing yesterday and I was pleased to see the representatives on both sides of the isle were working together in grilling the CEO of TikTok. The pivoting moment was when a DEMOCRATIC Representative asked the CEO if he lets his kids use the app, and (Wait For It) his answer was NO! Yet, they market TikTok to American kids to fill their minds with propaganda of all types -- all geared to HATE the United States. No wonder college kids and kids in general today are nothing more than a bunch of ignorant zombies. It is scary to think that these ignorant assholes are our future generation!

China owns and operates TWO TikToks, one version of Tiktok is the one used in China which features EDUCATIONAL videos in the form of Educational Documentaries. The second Tiktok is the one China markets to the 150 Million ASSHOLES in this country. The U.S. version has NOTHING of Substance or Educational value, the videos in this version of Tiktok is of IGNORANT ASSHOLES talking out of their ass on subjects they are clueless on. No wonder China wholeheartedly believes Americans are MINDLESS IDIOTS!
