Rusia is now North Korea..no stock market and the ruble is worth absolutely nothing ,no flights in or out of Russia. No trade either as well as no bank transactions. But if you want a fascist regime at home : "Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has opened an investigation into one of its own employees who has a transgender teenager". for the Bi- people here ..you have no rights, at least not Texas or Florida. You are not created equal.
Sedition
I didn’t see Obama’s name in his quote. He was addressing Congress. Not the President specifically.
But that doesn’t fit your narrative.
It's interesting that Trump's own National Security Advisor, John Bolton, just on Monday completely diss'ed on Trump and Ukraine. He was one of the people who was ACTUALLY IN THE ROOM AND A DIRECT EYEWITNESS to the President and his behavior. Go watch the video for yourself, don't rely on anything you read online:
https://www businessinsider com/john-bolton-trump-newsmax-barely-knew-where-ukraine-was-video-2022-3
Among the quotes:
"The fact is that he barely knew where Ukraine was," Bolton said.
When the host depicted the Trump administration's approach as "pretty tough on Russia, in a lot of ways," Bolton disagreed.
"We didn't sanction Nord Stream 2," Bolton said.
After mentioning sanctions the Trump administration enacted on some Russian oligarchs, Bolton became more frank. "But in almost every case, the sanctions were imposed with Trump complaining about it and saying we were being too hard," Bolton said. "The fact is that he barely knew where Ukraine was. He once asked John Kelly, his second chief of staff, if Finland were a part of Russia. It's just not accurate to say that Trump's behavior somehow deterred the Russians."
The former president and his GOP allies in recent days repeatedly suggested Putin would not have launched the attack on Ukraine if Trump were still in office.
But Putin was fueling a war in eastern Ukraine throughout Trump's presidency. Trump was also impeached, in part, for withholding $400 million in military aid from Ukraine while this conflict was ongoing as he pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch an investigation into the then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter over baseless allegations of corruption.
"Obama sent blanket? It’s true."
The President of the Ukraine said OweBama sent blankets. Pay attention if you can.
“ Brennan said it so it must be true.”
Lmfao
Because Trump said Obama sent blanket? It’s true.
Splinter/plank
Biden has approved 350 million in arms for Ukraine , will they get there in time ?
Don’t forget he gave the Taliban 80 BILLION in arms .
Brennan said it so it must be true.
“ Brennan lol”
As opposed to Mike Pompeo. Who has recently praised Putin and Russia.
@Perf, you’re still not answering if agree with with Fulton County DA and sending Trump election meddling to a Grand Jury?
Brennan lol
“ So, at this time, Obama thinks Ukraine is going to give technology to Russia? hahahahahaha”
From NBC News Nov 2019: “ WASHINGTON — Republicans made a point of emphasizing during the impeachment hearings that President Donald Trump provided sophisticated weapons to Ukraine to deter Russian aggression, in contrast to the Obama administration, which declined to do so.
President Obama's decision was portrayed as an example of his timidity in foreign policy. But the story is more complicated than that, said former CIA Director John Brennan.
In particular, said Brennan, now an NBC News analyst, the military was opposed to providing Javelin anti-tank missiles to the Ukrainians during the Obama administration "because of fear that the Russians would get access to Javelin's sensitive technology," he said.
"The Russians had deep penetrations of Ukrainian intelligence, security, and military forces in the aftermath" of that country's 2014 revolution that overthrew a pro-Russian government he said, "and it took time to rid those forces of Russian moles, agents, and spies. That was the purpose of my visit to Kiev less than eight weeks after the Revolution of Dignity."
A robust debate ensued within the Obama administration about the provision of lethal aid, he said, and there were some who argued it would escalate the situation and provoke Russia. That's how Russian expert Fiona Hill described the Obama administration's thinking in her testimony.
“ Some [officials] argued strenuously to provide lethal assistance, but the ultimate decision made by [Obama] was to provide only non-lethal military and economic assistance," Brennan said. "It was a tough decision. The Javelin issue is being misrepresented as a simple decision devoid of other considerations, and that was not the case”
Brennan points out that the Javelins are currently "under lock and key in Ukrainian rear areas, not on the front lines. Their presence in Ukraine, however, does send a strong deterrent signal to Moscow, which is good."
He added, "I believe it is appropriate that Ukrainian forces have Javelins now because of the work that has been done over the past five years to reduce Russian presence and influence, but giving Javelins to the Ukrainians earlier would have risked compromising a very important and sensitive weapon system that could have come back to haunt U.S. forces on the battlefield."
Oh he sent billions to Ukraine, but was no to help the people of Ukraine.
@Justus , Obama did give money to Ukraine for weapons …..now what they bought ?
newsweek: Images of Poroshenko sitting side by side with Obama in the Oval Office and of the warm reception he received in a speech to Congress projected a symbolic show of solidarity with the Ukraine leader as he faces down Russia's incursion.
So, at this time, Obama thinks Ukraine is going to give technology to Russia? hahahahahaha
Do you know how to use the internet?
Do you agree with the Grand Jury in Fulton County who is investigating Trump for election interference?
“Why didn't Obama send lethal aid at the request of Ukraine????????????…..”
Stop me if I’m incorrect. The thinking at the time was that Ukraine would hand technology over to Russia.
That is an Administrations prerogative on how they deal with other governments. 292 million dollars was still provided to Ukraine for military assistance.
Look inward.
Why didn't Obama send lethal aid at the request of Ukraine?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
“ I find nothing wrong with the CLEO, or any other law enforcement, asking anyone for information on illegal activities of any US citizen”
So you agree with the Grand Jury in Fulton County?
“ You posted a snippet from SNOPES but didn't bother to post the part about Obama sent nothing lethal and Trump did.”
Lol
You conveniently left out: “ Trump is being hyperbolic here. While the Obama administration was criticized for its refusal to provide lethal assistance to Ukraine, it did provide more than $100 million in security assistance, as well as a significant amount of defense and military equipment.
By March 2015, the US had committed more than $120 million in security assistance for Ukraine and had pledged an additional $75 million worth of equipment including UAVs, counter-mortar radars, night vision devices and medical supplies, according to the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
Trump appears to be echoing a critique leveled at the Obama administration by the late Republican Sen. John McCain. "The Ukrainians are being slaughtered and we're sending blankets and meals," McCain said in 2015. "Blankets don't do well against Russian tanks."
While it never provided lethal aid, many of the items that the Obama administration did provide were seen as critical to Ukraine's military. Part of the $250 million assistance package that the Trump administration announced (then froze and later unfroze) included many of the same items that were provided under Obama, including medical equipment, night vision gear and counter-artillery radar.“
Same article you took your original quote from.
I really suggest looking inward.
You’re pointing out the splinter in your opponents eye. While you can’t see past the plank in your own eye.
"And you didn't post anything about Trump trying to strong arm Zelensky into investigating the Bidens."
I find nothing wrong with the CLEO, or any other law enforcement, asking anyone for information on illegal activities of any US citizen
LOL.
And you didn't post anything about Trump trying to strong arm Zelensky into investigating the Bidens.
Something he was impeached for.
When was the last time (or first time) that you posted a source that doesn't agree with you?
You just did the very same thing. You posted a snippet from SNOPES but didn't bother to post the part about Obama sent nothing lethal and Trump did. You couldn't be bothered to find that the quote about blankets was from Poroshenko. Trump said it so you don't like it or automatically disbelieve it.
Not necessarily...
However, I don't go looking for a source that agrees with me and then call everyone else assholes.
"The Trump administration did approve the provision of arms to Ukraine, including sniper rifles, rocket launchers and Javelin anti-tank missiles"
I'm sure Putin loved that.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
