"Buy a sharpie, write DNR on your chest."
I tried something like that once. Except I sharpied it on the door of my truck and parked illegally at the boat ramp. Still got a ticket.

Let them do the drugs , it’s the Democrats form of population control.
@Phx
Comes out of the woodwork with a zinger :)
"I think that would be considered ground under repair."
@Flip
I have no problem with your choices. It is your life, not mine. I am just happy as fuck that there are those that do not think like you. I am happy that there are cops that are willing to save. I am happy that there are people in the military willing to fight on my behalf. I am happy that there are nurses, ok, well, the candy stripers :) I am happy that there are doctors. I am happy that there are people who develop medicine and health equipment. It goes on and on. Without those people, well, fuck, you probably would not have a golf course.
It would be cool if he just lays down in the bunker when he feels it coming on.
I think that would be considered ground under repair.
Lol@2much. I'll try
Buy a sharpie, write DNR on your chest.
Just try not to drop dead in my putting line then.
I sure don't expect anyone to lift a finger to help me.
“yes actually and everyone else should too imo.”
So if you’re having an heart attack at the golf course or restaurant you want no CPR or AED?
@ea, yes actually and everyone else should too imo.
@Flip
"I wouldn't talk down to them or anything as I walk past them, not wanting to get involved, I just don't care if they live or not."
That is fine.
Is that how you want others to treat you?
Like the way you think Flip.
Mickey
I wouldn't talk down to them or anything as I walk past them, not wanting to get involved, I just don't care if they live or not.
@Flip
There is a difference though. If I saw you having a heart attack, and of course, knew how to use a defib, I would not talk down to you while you were on the ground, spit on you and then walk over you as I leave you to die.
Why we classify drug abuse any differently than alcohol abuse or (this pains me to write) Oreo abuse boggles my mind. If a person has a weakness, they have a weakness. If it harms them, I am not going to try and NOT help them.
I do not know what put them in that position. All I have, is at best, is a Polaroid snapshot of what is happening in their life. I am not going to judge what put them in the position to be where there are at that moment.
I have an aunt who is cool AF. I had not talked to her in nearly 10 years. She moved and my mother and her often went without talking to each other. I found out she had moved to Atlanta and like an IDIOT, I decided to just KNOCK on her door. I didn't call at all. I get there and she opens the door and smiles. What I learned was in the 10 years prior she had had a double mastectomy, a brain tumor removed. She is 5'5" and she probably weighed 250 at the time. She had been to hell twice, rejected and back. Would it be wrong if she started drinking a lot? Would it be wrong if she started to do drugs? Would it be wrong that she gained 100 pounds during this time? Yet, if you were to see her on the street you'd go, "There goes a fat bitch." I have learned to not judge people because of her.
@ea, as a fat (used to be much fatter) guy that had a heart attack 6 years ago I don't see a whole lot of a difference. I earned that heart attack and you. Would argue that I deserved it too.
Just a quick note. COVID pushed me to actually get off my ass and start taking my health seriously and Im glad I did.
@Flip
Why? Do you think that people on drugs are different than people who are obese and have heart attacks?
HINT: More people die from heart disease than from drugs. IIRC heart disease is over 10x that of fentanyl deaths. But it's ok, give congratulations to the Salt, Sugar and Fat companies, while blaming Mexicans for bringing in drugs.
People are funny. This is what pro life looks like? ROFL.
Nope
@Flip
Here ya go buddy.
I want to remove all the defibrillator machines that are out there in public.
You know . . . fuck all those fat fucks who have heart attacks. I don't give a shit about them. It's not my fault that they decided to eat at the Golden Corral and Hometown Buffet. They could have exercised once or twice in their life. Jeeze.
Or . . .
You know, fuck that idiot who had a heart attack on the golf course. That bastard should have known better to go play golf on a hot humid day in the South.
Does that change your opinion now?
:)
I'm way too selfish to give a single fuck about a junkie, fuck'em, not my problem, they can all die for all I care
@Flip, “ If I knew and loved the person I'd help. Otherwise doubtful. Not worth the risk to me and have no problem with addicts disappearing from the world.”
I get not helping someone you don’t know. Not saying you have to help a stranger. But shouldn’t tools be available? Someone does know the stranger that you don’t. Don’t they deserve the same fighting chance as someone you know?
These vending machines are more for the people that want to help someone they care about. Not too many addicts can use the vending machine and administer the drug to themselves after they’ve OD.
Maybe if someone they know does have the tool. They can keep helping the addict until they get over the addiction.
EA......I agree alcohol is a big issue for many people. I like my whiskey and beer but it's usually a weekend thing by the pool.
So this is what pro-life looks like?
Hmmmm.....didn't you just lecture me about staying on topic? You are just darting all over the place.
@JandE
Another grammatical correction . . .
People make choices to do addictive drugs. There whole life will fit on the end of that glass pipe, in that spoon, or in that needle, OR THAT BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL.
People make choices to do addictive drugs. There whole life will fit on the end of that glass pipe, in that spoon, or in that needle. They made the choice so they should suffer the consequences. Democrats want to help these people with safe places and clean needles, another stupid.
