It is apparently too complicated of a concept that Democrats, hell, even outright liberals and even social democrats can be fine with gun ownership. Let alone that some of them may even own guns.
NRA is going down
You obviously don't know anything about California.
Some of the most conservative members of Congress are from California...
Ammo is scarce in CA looks like Dems are buying guns and ammo too !
LOL
And then some.
So, the country approves of California's gun laws?
No, we don't have to go out and ask people. There are those that are paid to do so. They are called pollsters. Just because you don't like the results does not change them. Jesus, grow the fuck up.
— 90 percent of Americans and 90 percent of gun owners support fixing gaps in government databases that are meant to prevent the mentally ill, drug abusers and others from buying guns.
— 91 percent of Americans and 93 percent of gun owners support requiring federal agencies to share information about suspected dangerous persons or terrorists to prevent them from buying guns.
— 89 percent of Americans and 89 percent of gun owners support full funding of the law a unanimous Congress passed and President George W. Bush signed after the Virginia Tech shootings to put more records in the background-check database.
— 86 percent of Americans and 81 percent of gun owners support requiring all gun buyers to pass a background check, no matter where they buy the gun and no matter who they buy it from.
— 89 percent of Americans and 85 percent of gun owners support a law to require background checks for all guns sold at gun shows.

I tell you what. Go personally ask 100 2a supporters and please let me know what your percentage ends up.
I'm willing to bet that it will be far different than your polls.
@2out
That does not jive with polling though.
A vast majority, iirc, it was nearly 80% of NRA members wanted to close the gun show loophole and various other issues.
2out, the only reason for limiting the 2nd is to unarm U S, the citizens. Once unarmed then the Bolsheviks would take over with out firing a shot. At the beginning of WW II a Japanese General or Admiral said, "we can not invade the U S A because behind every blade of grass is a rifle." In other Countries the first thing they did is disarm the citizens. Be thankful we have our guns and keep "THE SNIFFER AND HIS HO", ET AL, away.
NRA turned into an organization that the answer is NO no matter what.
If you are looking for a reason why I'll tell you.
Whether you agree with me or not. The vast majority of 2a supporters think that there are enough laws already in place. The "ONLY" place left to go is limiting good peoples ability to enjoy their hobby.
This may confuse a lot of people.
I am not a fan of the stranglehold that the NRA has put on politics. However, I am a fan of them being there to counter overzealousness and ignorance. Personally, I am not a fan of guns. I have been shot at. I have seen the results of what people have done with them. I think there are a lot of people who idiotically and blanketly want to remove them. I think that law-abiding owners, on the whole, are not idiots and are ok with some reasonable restrictions. I don't think they want mentally ill people to own guns. I don't think they mind a cooling-off period. I don't think they mind not having armor-piercing bullets. For that, give me a NRA that fights for reasonable restrictions and allows for those to be implemented. The NRA turned into an organization that the answer is NO no matter what. They argued vehemently that everything was a slippery slope to take your guns away. The fact that they are, in essence, the PR arm of the gun manufacturers and their vested interest is in selling guns was an ethical conflict that I do not like.
Personally, I do not own any guns other than a BB gun that is sitting in a box that was last taken out about 30 years ago and I have no idea where the BBs are for it. I have shot pistols and rifles. The first gun I owned, I was 13. I bought it from a guy across the street in the apartment complex I lived in. He sold me a .22 rifle for $15. That should have never happened. Now, I did not go out and shoot up the 'hood. I had a friend whose family were, well, rednecks. They took me out to an area that was known for shooting things and taught me. I am grateful that they did, but realistically, I'd prefer it be licensed and regulated.
So if there is a way to have an organization that does stick up for fair restrictions on guns, and I realize that fair is very vague and will be argued until we are blue in the face, but it is a start, I'd be all for it. And no, I'd still not own a gun. Now, if I move 15 miles to the north where there are bears . . . fuck yeah. I will be getting a couple of guns and getting some training.
I like the uscca better than the nra. Nowhere near the amount of members that nra claims though
Maybe the Civilian Marksmanship Program will.
Look them up . Even your goverment will sell you a gun.
So who's going to take over all the gun safety programs , certify instructors and range officers.
Look up the NFAC , they could use some instruction in firearms so maybe they wont shoot themselves.
"It wont change how NRA members vote ." - dont really care..the contributions to GOP as well as Senate lobbing will be over and that is good with me.
My serial number is " Property of BonnieandClydeCT"
I agree Bonnie. There seem to be 2 groups that are VERY strong single-issue voters. There is the anti-abortion group and the 2a group. If there was a candidate that was, say, David Duke and he ran on a platform of anti-abortion and 2a, he'd get votes. Hell, if all the other candidates were pro abortion and anti 2a, Duke would get 20% of the vote.
It wont change how NRA members vote .
NRA is a major republican backbone. Braking it will be a good thing.
NSSF , Newtown , CT .
Sandy Hook is actually in Newtown.
Uscca > NRA
How did we get away from the NRA?
Well my feelings are if the NRA goes down another organization will take its place.
There is a similar organazation that was based out of Sandy Hook CT .
Forget the name but I think they moved due to the pressures involved with the school shooting there.
Business Insider, May 2020: Biden accused by 8 women. Trump accused by 25. None of the eight were minors.
"Epstein ring was run from Mar-A-Lago"
No , but Epstein and Maxwell recruited one of Trumps 16yo employees from there.
There is a documentary out there on Epstein . You should watch it .
This is probably why Trump had them banned at Mar-A-Lago.
