I should clarify that I was referring to those in significant positions of political power.

Those aligned with him know he's nuts and are just trying to steer him in directions that are favorable to themselves. They don't give a fuck about the country as long as whatever they do poses little threat to themselves or people they care about. They know when this is all over so are their career prospects so they are just trying to secure themselves financially to weather life after Trump.

If more people did, I think they would have a better understanding of how insane he is.
