A loophole means it's legal... they're an exploitation of the system that wasn't intended to be there, but still legal. Of course, someone in Biden's position obviously has an accountant, and it's that accountant that probably set things up like that for him, so I don't think you can blame him personally. I think it's smart to use whatever legal means there are to reduce your taxes. Isn't that what Trump said? So are Republicans being hypocritical to call out Biden for this, but not Trump?

This reminds me of that time when Warren Buffett said it was terrible policy that he paid a lower rate on his taxes than his secretaries. Several Republicans told him he could always pay more taxes voluntarily, that there was some way to do that in your filing. Of course Warren shot back that's stupid because that's just adding MORE UNFAIRNESS to the system. It's obvious we should all play by the same rules and the rules should be fair to everyone.
