How long the shut downs?

This is why I say schools should be open at least to students age 16.
Keeping schools closed is not the answer.
Bill Gates says what I say schools open for younger ages. Older students can go on the internet.
I have always said the money should be spent on students in day care, preschool, kindergarten, and to ages of 10-12.
After that if students are well taught they can be mostly on their own with electronic teaching.
Younger students need the one on one.

The Republican brand has worked, and continues to work for them. The inconsistency is essential when you get voters to vote against their own interest.

Anytime you can get the wealthy 1% and the poor rural demographic on the same page, you've conducting a marketing miracle.

That's why they continue to win and dominate politics.

Schools are doing online classes, so the teachers stay home and get paid for working from home.

Stay at home is exactly what we want during a pandemic.... fucking morons think keeping the rich rich is more important than lives.

Republicans need to rebrand to anti-abortion, because with their stance on capital punishment, guns and the pandemic, they sure as fuck are not pro-life!

If schools do not reopen, do the Teachers still get paid for sitting home, going to the park, going shopping and going on vacations?????Why should Teachers get paid if schools are not open?????      Does anyone know the answer for sure?????

There are 3 ways to end a pandemic: A) finding a proper treatment B) Building a natural immunity C) preventing spread by having vaccine. Since we have no treatment and no vaccine we have to rely on building a natural immunity. The curve or the infected people needs to plateau and then start to decline as more people become immune and resistant to infection. Here is the problem. Isolation slows down the building of natural immunity, but helps hospitals from being overrun with very sick people.

Article from market watch this am predicting 5% decline in GDP of the shutdown lasts a month.

Wait. What? A month? The point of the shutdown is to slow the spread from dozens of weeks to dozens of months.

So how long before the economic collapse causes us to give up on slowing the spread and reopen everything?
