It is on Trump to provide evidence that he followed the procedure to declassify the documents that the FBI siezed. Who wants to bet me $10K that he doesn't have that proof for all of those documents??? Put up or shut up!

Why would the FBI be working so hard to withhold the affidavit?

1. The warrant affidavit is almost never released. I don't know why you'd be surprised that they should treat this case any differently. After all, they are tryint to treat everyone equally under the law. You might ask instead, why should the ex-president get any special privileges?

1. If you really cared about this, you could read the 13 page response the DOJ sent out. Among the reasons was that it would jeopardize national security, since there is classified material involved here.

The real question in all of this is why did Trump have classified documents in his possession AFTER his lawyers signed off and said he didn't have any? He was caught 100% red-handed. The FBI found them, and even Trump now admits he had classified documents. So that's just a fact that he had them despite LYING about not having them. What's up with that? Isn't that at all questionable behavior, or are all of you willing to let him do whatever he wants, including breaking the law?

You do understand the being marked classified and top secret does not mean they are . If Trump declassified those documents as he says he did and recorded that way with the Dept. of Energy the FBI Is shit out of luck .

Clyde.... seriously? The inventory of what was taken was released to the public and reported all over the place. If you're getting your news were they are not telling you the truth and the whole truth, you should reconsider your sources. Here's a summary:

It's true that the details of what is in the classified documents haven't been released to the public. They shouldn't be because they're classified! But do you really need to know more? He had documents marked top secret in his office at mar-a-lago!? It's illegal for him to have these documents there. PERIOD. And he willfully took them and kept them, for god knows what reason. How stupid can Trump be is what I wonder??? If he had just returned them over the many months when he was asked to, he wouldn't be in this mess. He has only himself to blame.

There are three national security clearance levels: Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret. Work deemed Critical Sensitive requires a Top Secret clearance. Special Sensitive work requires access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and therefore a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

Since some of the documents recovered were of nuclear in nature and were only to be opened, read, and stored in the highest of secured facilities. The removal of those documents could be considered "espionage"

From all the info I get, Trump was told he needed to return all the classified material, he returned some but retained a bunch of others, the FBI had proof he had this material, got a warrant, actually found said classified material in the ex-president's home, and took it as they should. Seems like an open and shut case to me.

From this we are now seeing the far right call to "defund the FBI", which is just as stupid as "defund the police". I mean, do you really want to be that stupid?
