LA County has it seems right now the worst numbers for Covid in the country.

When was the last time President Trump addressed this Covid crisis.

He prefers to fearmonger about stuff that is a very, very minimal threat to us (eg Mexican immigrants who are rapists) while ignoring domestic violence and murder of by white guys with guns of their wives or partners and the high number of female students in college who report rape or those who have been subject to rape and sexual harassment but don’t report it officially).

My question is: Why are people curious or concerned about the Hunter Biden laptop and the BLM activist at the Capitol.

We are at record highs in Covid deaths.

We have a President whose lost it.

I'm more interested in Biden's choices for Cabinet and key positions on his staff.

I'm more curious about the fate of Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley with their self-inflicted wounds.

I'm more interested in seeing check go up to $2000 for people and imagining what government can do to help the economy recover and people regain jobs they have lost and get more and more of us vaccinated.

Trump deserves a second impeachment.

I don't see Republicans willing to learn to much from why Trump lost except to figure out how to do more voter suppression and gerrymandering and do better getting out the vote of GOP for 2022 elections.

The state is recommending that people do not travel and if you do, try to keep it under 120 miles.

The state, shows that there are 1302 ICU beds. In my county we have 99 of the 1302. I am about 115 miles away from the Staples Center in downtown LA.

LA has zero free beds.

Ventura Country which separates my country from LA, has about 5 free beds (last I checked). My county, now has 11 free beds. The state is broken up into regions and southern california, which my county is the last county (north and west) in that region. That region, has roughly 9% of the United States population. There is almost 30 million people living in that region. The availability of beds? It is at ZERO. To give you an idea how bad it is, with our 11 free beds, it is still at zero percent availability, probably something like 0.2%.

So yes, they are recommending non essential travel to be under 120 miles. They are trying to stop the spread of the new variation.

Now one thing to understand is that 120 miles is a unit of measurement that is not really used in SoCal. If you pull up a map. Look where Santa Barbara is. Look where Palm Springs is. Map a route it is 210 miles. Depending upon what time of day I leave depends upon how long it takes to get there. One day, I left for Palm Springs at 5:30 in the morning. I got to Palm Springs at 8:30. The day before, I had to be in downtown LA, basically the Staples Center. I left here at 6:00 in the morning and got there at 9:45am. That 30 minutes of time meant I hit LA traffic.

Watch LA Story or Office Space and what you see about traffic is true. I know someone who works 12 miles from where they live and it is 1 hour each way each day.

So the 120 miles is a meh. If you are in LA, you are going 120 miles anyway!
