I have noticed a pattern amongst those that call themselves conservatives. They are not literate in English or knowledgeable about math. I have pointed out numerous math issues that conservatives have. Now, well it's time for the English side.
Today, we have Trump's daughter Ivanka. She decided to pull out a quote of Jefferson's. Here is where it is so fucking ironic. Her quote of Jefferson was. "surrounded by enemies and spies catching and perverting every word that falls from my lips or flows from my pen, and inventing where facts fail them." This is the VERY next sentence from Jefferson, "I pant for that society where all is peace and harmony, where we love and are loved by every object we see."
Now, there are some literate conservatives and I enjoy reading and listening to them. I may not agree with them, but at least they understand context, understand language and are not cut/paste artists. There seems to be a very large majority, and we see it in these forums, that will not read the next sentence. They see a phrase and contort it to 'invent where facts fail them.'
