Common Ground - Holidays

Birmingham, AL, Us

As the New Year approaches, it is important to take stock of the past one and plan for the next.

Where one has failed in the past, there is opportunity to try again; where one has succeeded, there is space to improve upon it.

As T.S. Eliot once wrote, "For last year's words belong to last year's language. And next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."

I sincerely hope that each and every one of you in the political forums has a much brighter year ahead than the one we leave behind.

At the very least, I hope you get kissed somewhere nice at midnight.

Cheers!!!

Merry Christmas to everybody,

Except Flip and Donald.

Nothing can cause a fight faster than talking about politics and religion, but holidays are times for reflection and, specifically this one, a time for peace.

To eveyone in the political forums, friends and foes and everyone in between (even the one's who've blocked me), I hope that you get to spend time with loved ones, get and give at least one nice present, or at the very least, have a couple of days off from work over the holidays.

Merry Christmas!

Given that the preamble to my post was regarding politics, then the politics forum was the appropriate place.

Maybe time to get those glasses checked. That would probably also explain your issue with judging lengths.

Request that the moderator moves it to the Open Forum if it's truly civil and non-political

The same place that you could have created this into from the get-go..

With that. I'm done with this topic.

Well...it's nice to see the exact type of responses I thought I'd see.

If this was common ground, it would have been posted in the open forums.

He has shown who he is,

People have been exhausted over his posts from the past month.

OP, there is NO SUCH THING as common ground when one group, the repubtards want to FORCE EVERYONE to live by and under their RULE, period! The rest of us want LIBERTY but these morons, repubtards, do not want liberty and are anti-contitution i.e. COMMIES

Now I'm just spit-balling. However, when a Block list exceeds a Read list it's probably detrimental to any meaningful common ground discussions.

Unfortunately, nobody wanted to participate in in this conversation.

I would hope that, but que the manifest destiny & conquistador comments. I'll take 8 for $300 Alex on the board with white supremacy...

Personally, I would like to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving..

Well Happy Thanksgiving to you too !

As much as many of us here engage in back and forth, trade taunts and insults, or even hateful comments, one would hope that common ground can still be found.

In that train thought, to everyone on the left, the right, the center, and even the batshit extremes of political positions:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I truly hope all of you get to spend time with the loved ones you have, remember fondly those who have passed before us, or at the absolute very least, have a decent Thursday.

BEST WISHES!!
