A Republican Senator from Louisiana said, in the basis of his own inside knowledge of GOP senators, that more than 17 would hand voted to convict Trump of impeachment if the vote had been secret.

All but 7 senators were profiles in cowardice, using a bogus excuse that the impeachment of someone no longer president was unconstitutional even if the impeachment was filed while president.

I respect willingness of any poster on the right to engage McConnell’s statement that Trump’s actions morally and practically deserved conviction.

I know this statement is too much cognitive dissonance for some to handle with maturity and will ignore it.

The inability of too many Americans—in the past and in the present—to confront honestly and morally injustice in America is what makes this country another profane empire that belies its pretensions to be exceptional and or even more pretentiously “God’s chosen country.”

I thought it was interesting that McConnell pretty much invited prosecutors to investigate his actions... I'm honestly not sure if the DC district attorney will do so, but I suspect there's a 50/50 chance it will happen now that the impeachment trial has ended. There's also the Georgia investigation.
