2nd impeachment

Thornton, CO, Us

J,,,,C, the truth never matters to THE SWAMP LIZARDS. They do what is best for themselves. If it was THE SNIFFER PIMP as V P and not Pence as V P, THE SNIFFER PIMP would have sent the election back to his DEMOCRATIC STATE LEGISLATURES to give OWEBAMA a win. R I N O'S don't have any BALLS.

Sapp....I will ask again. Did Biden use his position as VP by threatening Ukraine with aid so they would fire a prosecutor who was going after Hunter and Barisma? That is very similar to the first impeachment of Trump
Second.....did Maxine Waters go on a rant that some would say was inciting a crowd to go after cabinet members out of line? That is similar to the second impeachment and in my view she was definitely trying to incite violence.

Rand Paul introduced a resolution to drop the charges against Trump due to the fact that he is no long in office. The resolution failed 55-45.

It is a forecast of the conviction vote. Only five Republicans are defending the oath on which the took. Most notably absent from the five? Leader McConnell. Great lip service. Both to the American people and Trump.

Money rules both sides. They are all whores. Fuckem all

I love the Dominion defamation cases. Let’s see what gets discovered and revealed through a legal process.

JC555,

I’ve argued more than once that Citizens United, decided mostly or entirely by Justices appointed by GOP presidents, was a terrible decision as it allowed even more for corporate bribery in politics.

Democrats have served big donors as well. They too have been bought by the wealthy and the corporation. (They haven’t however appealed to anti-black racism to win presidential elections as the GOP presidents have done.)

I liked it that Elizabeth Warren refused to accept big money donations in her campaign for Democratic nomination.

I feel the GOP is a bigger whore to big money than Democrats, but both are whores with too few exceptions.

JC555,

Clinton lied under oath during a deposition in a case involving Paula Jones about blow job or having sex with
Lewinsky.

I don’t call what Clinton did a “high crime” and I think it was the right decision not to convict him, but GOP took big advantage of a stupid mistake and silly lie that Clinton did to cover up adulterous sex

I was never a fan of Bill Clinton

Trump in my view violated his Oath of Office and committed a high crime: his incitement to riot after weeks of fomenting up protests with false claims about the election.

Giuliani significantly did not make false claims of election fraud when he appeared in court before a judge. He knew he was in trouble if he lied or made false claims with no evidence to make them true.

But he lied and made false claims outside of the courtroom to the public.

Some Republicans in Congress voted to impeach Trump. That should tell you something.

jC 555,

Please read again what I posted

I say both Democratic politicians and GOP serve the upper half. The GOP serves more the 1% than Democrats. They each serve the interests of Wall Streets abs the corporation. They each serve their big donors.

In practice, each party serves the top or upper sides first and foremost. Each party in rhetoric appeals to a lower party of their base.

I do feel the Democrats especially on the left are more concerned than GOP on the right in actually serving the lower half with policies that address their needs and security.

We are a plutocracy and Democratic leaders and GOP both perpetuate it.

I’m on the far or progressive left as I protest as well how the moderate Democrats compromise a lot on serving people Id like to see served better by the federal government—and that includes white people as well as people of color

Just look at tax cuts favored by GOP? Who benefits the most from those cuts? The rich.

I hate in particular how both Democrats and GOP presidents in my lifetime have gotten people in our military killed, and most of people in military are from the the bottom 40% in wealth and money

@ea, that was bs. Sorry you dealt with that. It's same for me if I'm carrying (when I owned guns before the boating accident) and I brake check someone on the highway, it escalates and the guy gets out of his car and I end up shooting him. I was the initial cause of the incident.

@JC, “ if you think it is coincidence that Dem governors are now opening up you truly are blind”

They’re not just starting. Don’t be foolish. I live in a Democrat state. We have been opening up for eight month. Yes there was a pause in December and January due to the spike in numbers associated with the holidays. Don’t fling your bullshit.

If you believe they’re now opening up? You’re truly blind.

EA.....well sorry you went through the mess. Yes I can see being ignorant of the law because we all are at times. But again what we interpret as being that are always very debatable. So with a Senate at 50/50 and political statements always wanting to be made this will be a joke. Of course Romney and a few Rhinos will vote for the Dems also.

JC

In 2003 when I moved to CA, I learned of a weird CA law. It is penal code 415. I had just come from Florida, of which I am 7th generation. We were at a restaurant, probably a pubic hair above an applebees. My wife, child and I were sitting in a booth along the wall. In the room, where tables and there was a table with a couple and their ~7 year old kid. The 7 year old kid was a noisy bastard. He was screaming a lot. They gave him a ballon to play with. The kid would blow up the ballon and then let it go, so it would fly places. The waiter came over and asked how things were, I pointed out what was going on. They got the manager to go talk to the couple about the kid. The manager discussed acting like civilized humans. After the manager leaves, the woman tells the kid to blow up the balloon and aim at us. I look at her with a wtf look. The kid does it, it lands nowhere near. The kid does it again and it lands on our table. They had finished and left. I called the woman, ' a fucking bitch.' Our check showed up. We paid. The waiter apologized for the asshole family. The waiter brought back our check and cc and I signed, we got up and left. As we walked towards the front, by where the greeter is, outta nowhere, I get cold cocked. Yup. I get punched. The asshole runs out the door. The greeter has no idea wtf is going on, the manager saw it and comes over. I ask him to call the cops and fill out a witness statement.

The cops show up. He is long gone but the woman is there, with the kid. The cops talk to me and talk to her and then come back to me. They state, "They are willing to NOT press charges if you don't." I go, "What the fuck are you talking about. I was assaulted." I was asked, "Did you call her a fucking bitch?" IU said yes. The cops said I broke CA Penal code 415. Here is what the law states, "Any person who uses offensive words in a public place which are inherently likely to provoke an immediate violent reaction." I argued that was the stupidest law ever. It took a minute to realize that this was a no win scenario. I told the cops, fine, I am outta here. I left. I almost moved right back to Florida after that. I went home and looked up the law. I thought it was stupid as fuck. After thinking about it for a few days, I realized it was actually a smart law. It was a law put there to stop people from inciting other people. I then checked if it was a CA thing or other states. It is other states as well.

Here is Alabama's version:

"A person commits the crime of inciting to riot if he commands, solicits, incites or urges another person to engage in tumultuous and violent conduct of a kind likely to cause or create a grave risk of public terror or alarm." That is title 13a-11-4

So while you may think it is foolish or a waste of time or whatever you want to call it, 50 states don't see it the way you do. Fifty states would arrest and try the person. That is what is happening here. Let the jury determine if there was the crime or not. That is their role. It is the houses role to be that of the cop and say here is the crime, here is the evidence.

Sapp.....now answer my question

It's so easy to get the mob riled up. Like freaking ants just keep coming.
Lol

Sapp......you keep alluding to Republicans always serving the rich. How come when Dems almost always out spend Republican candidates in the bigger elections by 2 to 1. Where does that huge money come from? Yes Dems have went to far left for many middle class people.

Onehell.....if you think it is coincidence that Dem governors are now opening up you truly are blind. Covid19 deaths and infections are not improving at all.

EA......yes in the civilian world a trial will happen regardless. This is not the civilian world. Your only goal is to keep him from running for office. Why so worried?

Sapp......Clinton lied under oath and that is why he was impeached. Yes I agree he got what he deserved. He was impeached for lying and not a BJ

EA.....we can do it how ever you want. I am positive your name calling will not make me go hide. The pathetic examples you used are extremely over the top. Again an interpretation of a statement is extremely silly to have a freaking trial. It is well known now that many people from different political views participated in the riot. Many were already at the capital waiting while trump was still speaking. Take your damn blinders off

JC555,

First answer my question: Did you support the impeachment of Clinton for lying about a blowjob?

Did he commit “high crimes and misdemeanors” in doing that?

What do you think of 7 Republican members of Congress voting for Impeachment of Trump?

Even a key Republican leader—Senator McConnell—had suggested he sees impeachment as appropriate.

Let’s see how he actually votes on it in the Senate.

In any case, my sense of justice has been satisfied. Trump got voted out of office. He’s been impeached for the second time.

The Democrats have back the majority of the Senate thanks to the majority of voters in Georgia.

AOC and Cori Bush are in Congress too. I like AOC much better than Maxine Waters, and she is a key part of the best future for Democrats and USA politics in my view.

I am angry at Democratic Party for not doing more and being smarter to win back more of the working class and rural vote. They have served too much the upper half of Americans.

The GOP has served even more slavishly the upper part of the upper class in action while giving mostly lip service to the interests of blue collar and rural Americans. I am particularly angry at their dog whistling to anti black racism and xenophobic fears. They care about serving their big donors too first and foremost.

What did Trump actually do to make lives better for those in the bottom half or lower class who supported him so fervently?

“ I am sure the hag Nancy gave them the green light.”

Nancy has absolutely zero say in how a governor runs their state.

You really should educate yourself. But I doubt you really want to. You just want to throw our a Nancy to get the dogs barking.

There should be a Hunter any time now

Hypocrisy at its best... !

Why because Trump said it prior..

Irondequoit, NY, Us

@JC, “ His presidency has ended so the trial is unnecessary and a waste of time and money.”

This is where you’re completely wrong, and where you do not understand the process. If Trump is found guilty (doubt this will happen). A penalty of never being able to hold any Federal Public office again is voted on. No long is there a need for 2/3 of the vote. Simple majority.

This would end the hope of so many that he will run again for President in 24. Or HFT hoping he runs for the House in 22.

The trial is not just about removing Trump from office. This impeachment has never, ever been about that.

Santa Barbara, CA, Us

JC - are you going to go back to calling names or are you going to be civil. I have no problem either way, but you may not like the treatment back.

Why is there a trial? The person has been charged. There has to be a trial. It doesn't matter if the person moved out of state. It doesn't matter if the person is no longer the ceo of that company that did all the damage. What matters is that the person was, at that time, the person to be charged.

Using your logic, Biden, after losing the election in 2024, on January 19th, orders the military, as commander in chief, to go to Alabama and blow up Gadsden. Well, January 20th hits, he is outta there. No charges. No nothing.

Now, I suspect you will say, "The military will only carry out lawful orders and would never do that." Ok, then change it. January 19th, he calls up Xi and says, put $100bn in an account. Here are all the nuclear codes and all of our secrets, the password is 1234" January 20th, he is outta there.

Using your logic, he is immune to a trial.

Do you actually think that the constitution was built with that 'loophole' in mind?

NOPE.
