One thing the last couple of years has taught me is that people with lunatic ideas are more common than I once thought, and aren't just limited to people screaming at bus stations and the like. They also include people who seem mostly normal, at least initially.

On NextDoor, people frequently post photos of sunrises or sunsets. Lately people have been commenting about how you can see chemtrails, those aren't clouds. etc.
It was only in the last few days I've begun to see fake sun.

Sun simulators are a thing, but only on a small scale to mimic the sun's light spectrum for growing plants. To think that our actual sun is fake means someone is smoking some very powerful shit, often ;-)
As far as keeping track of the crazies, since it will just frustrate and depress you that people can be so ignorant regardless of what anyone does/says, there is more lost than gained by trying to keep track of them.
The sun being replaced with a fake seems even crazier to me than the earth being flat.

These types of lunacy are exactly why I stay on Facebook, X or any other social media site. I need to know what the crazies are up to so I can be prepared if they try something.

When you don't do the big parties and clubs as much, you're often without the handy camera-person standing by for the money shot.

A single (vanilla) friend of ours went on a date from a dating site. She (then about 38) used pictures on her dating profile that were 12 years 2 kids and 40 pounds ago. The guy made an excuse to leave the table and never came back, texting her that he felt lied to.
She thought this was very shallow of him. Mrs VA and I, as gently as possible, told her that I don't think she should expect that to work out. There is a difference between using especially flattering photos vs ones that are just outright trickery.
She came around to agree on this.

WTF. Last night met a guy at a pub down the street. He was 50 pounds heavier than his picture, then made a scene when I called him out on it. Then accused me of body shaming.
