I tell these stories to Americans. They never believe me. That shit is real. There are many circumstances in Quebec where you can be criminally prosecuted for speaking or writing in English.

If a proposed law in Montreal goes into effect, all dogs will need to understand commands in both English and French.

Montreal city councilor Benoit LaDouce, who made the proposal, told CBC Radio that it's necessary to counter the "chaos" resulting from dogs at public parks who understand commands in only one language.

"The current situation in Montreal Dog Park is untenable chaos," LaDouce told CBC Radio. "The various dog commands are incomprehensible to each other."

In an inadvertently hilarious interview with the station, LaDouce (who was deadly serious) says he was inspired to propose the law after a dog began licking his face and did not respond to French commands.

"Our alienation from each other was absolute," LaDouce said.

LaDouce wants all dogs in the city to learn at least 80 to 90 commands in both languages, calling the task "basic stuff." He said each canine should be subjected to a test by a city employee to confirm the animal's bilingual comprehension.

There is no such thing as a life sentence in Canada. Highest sentence is 25 years, and mandatory parole if you're well behaved after I believe it's 11.

If you kill 200 people and then behave yourself, you're out in 11 years.

They made some attempt to fix this with "dangerous offender" status where people could be held for their full sentence if the argument could be made they are still a risk.

A famous case involves Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo, who in the early 90s were serial rapist, kidnapping, raping and sometimes murdering teenage girls. They caught in 1993.

She was out in 2005. He'll be out in 2020. And there is nothing anyone can do to hold him longer, having served a full 25 years, at the age of 56.

A Canadian man stabs his two children to death. The defense had two experts that said he could not have known what he was doing at the time. He served 46 months in a hospital and was released today.

Maybe the only shining light is that the prosecution is appealing the release. I'm not sure if they are appealing the verdict, something prosecutors in America cannot do. Or are they just appealing the decision to release him. I'll be watching this to see how it turns out.

Some, others are great spellers, and express themselves very, very well! Initially you're surprised that men in today's day and age, would behave so repulsively. So called men (only cause they sport a penis, but I'm convinced that they can't get it up unless a crane was attached to it) who have a problem with women, that have interest in politics, because you know, these so called men, feel that women need to look pretty, speak only when spoken to, and while they speak they need to keep their voice in check, and discuss ONLY "pussy" topics, like laundry, meal preparation, how they can be of better service to men, and be better wallflowers... you get the gist...they attempt to humiliate the women, by referring to them as; promiscuous, (the fact that they themselves are on a swing website seeking sex escapes these morons) attention seeking whores, self centered bitches etc..

Really? Hmmm... the only downside to that is the asshats y'all are always mentioning from there. That's why after briefly checking it out, I've generally avoided it. However, my first-hand experience at the hands of a union were enough to shake a lot of people. What they didn't realize is that if someone takes a swing at me, I don't back down-I double down. I held my ground and now my hospital is free of them, and things are finally settling back down to normal.
