I believe it’s because they read the forums, like what you post then check you out.
Who viewed me?
Several possible reasons I can think of...
People planning to travel might search and view profiles from the area where they are going.
People in the process of moving to that area are looking to see who else is there.
People looking at who is going on a cruise.
I wonder, on that note: If someone clicks on your profile in order to block you, will they still show up as "Viewed your profile"?
I think as soon as they block you then they will also fall off your who-viewed-me list. So I think they will show on your list the (likely) short time between the profile-click until the block-click, after that they will not show.
(But this is sls so anything is possible.....)
TallMark. Thanks for making me laugh first thing this morning.
Well when you ride the rails in a Gstring that will also bring out the lookers,LOL
Of the 8 Who Viewed Me profiles I can see on the home page, 3 are over 2,000 miles away, and another 2 are over 1,500 miles away...
Definitely posting related. We never really had the long distance viewer until we started posting here.
Exactly TIME! Exactly..
I only check out the WVM on occasion, and most are from further away than we'd likely ever meet
I have on occasion clicked on someone's distant profile from a forum post out of curiosity, or if doing a profile review.
A while back we visited LS friends in Florida and got a number of profile views from people there.
We’re with a few of the others, you post on here and next thing you know folks from all over are looking at your profile. Doesn’t bother us at all.
I've viewed three people who've already contributed to this thread based on forum posts they made. Also have seen a couple of single dudes from the forums check me out. Some I consider kindred spirits. One probable reason for long distance curiosity.
I wonder, on that note: If someone clicks on your profile in order to block you, will they still show up as "Viewed your profile"?
BTW Merry Christmas to all you perverts!
TALLMARK
I'm thinking the same thing, related to forum postings. I have been getting profile views from all over lately, with most from the North East area. Including a few from couples that block Single Males.
I think when you post in the Forums, others from out of state see your posting and will click on your profile to check it out.. So few in AZ look at my profile...But am viewed mostly from the east...
@fundamentallaw it was only 3 or 4 this time, all from the Philadelphia area. I'm in Buffalo and haven't changed my location in a while. Every so often this occurs, and it's always grouped in one city/region. It's almost like the site tricks itself into thinking my zip code temporarily changed.
San Diego is a major tourist destination, so we are always getting people checking us out from thousands of miles away.
About two months ago, our “who viewed me” took a quantum leap. From an occasional drop in to dozens a day. How many “who viewed me” are you seeing?
Who cares OP.. its what some do.. they see a nice picture or profile they click it on.. we sit and look at photos/profiles always as we travel often..and set up our next adventure by reaching out prior.
But if it bugs you.. turn it OFF we do and dont care who looks at ours !
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year To All!
Yes, I even had someone from the Arab Emirates view us the other day.
Every once in a while, my "who viewed me" section will show several profiles from hundreds of miles away from me. Often from places that I've never even been. Anyone else experience this, and/or know what's up with it?
