@wayne
His chromebook is running Chrome.
:)
@Sticks
To help solve this . . .
Have you installed Firefox on the Chromebook? The goal is to narrow it down to what the problem is.
When you connect mobile, are you using cellular or wifi to connect?
Well at least the forum post has brought my situation in to light...the ticket process was getting me nowhere. Like I said i could not even load the ticket window half the time, but had no issure loading them via my gmail and send the to tech support. FACT IS site pages will not load via our Chromebooks....for about 2 weeks now. Be fantastic to find out why and fix the issue.

A while back I had a machine that could no longer access Wikipedia. Every other website worked, but Wikipedia would not load and said that the SSL certificate had expired. Wikipedia worked on all my other devices. I didn't assume that it was a Wikipedia issue just because every other site worked. Took me a while to figure it out, but it turns out that my Windows had not automatically updated an expired SSL provider because my Windows updater had a corruption issue. Once I resolved that, everyting updated and Wikipedia started working again.

If the other network has any sort of filter on it chances are you’re having issues because SLS may be blacklisted due to its content.

SLS officially supports Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox. We do not support any other browsers. We no longer support IE or Edge. The site may work with those browsers, but I can't provide direct support for them.

@Wayne
""It seems to work fine on mobile devices but if you switch to a chromebook nothing will load."
The above statement proves that it is not an SLS issue. If it works fine for you on your mobile devices and not on your Chromebook, then it must be a setting on your Chromebook. "
Come on buddy. That ain't accurate.
It gets to browser level support. Do you write to support Safari, IE6, Edge, Chrome? As your site pulls from the database via cold fusion, it writes out the HTML that the browser renders. Your site controls what it sends.

All we did was change the text "Archived Mail" to "Alerts". That would not have caused this issue. I will get back to you privately.

WAYNE...this seems to coincide with the update SLS made when the ARCHIVED MAIL tab was changed to an ALERTS tab...which took place a few weeks ago.
I don't usually have any issue hooking up to the site. My laptop, android phone, and android tablet all work just fine getting to the site.
The 1990s interface, well, that is something we all have to deal with...
Wayne i have actually sent the screen shot to tech support via email becuase your ticket system will no even upload the JPG's. I can upload messages, photos or navigate in any way on SLS...it just will not load. It amazing that forum is actually working for me right now.
No they are not on the same network...but the chromebook works fine on the network it is on in every other site we visit. This is strictly an issue when we try and navigate on sls....not on any other site and the speed test shows everything is fine.

Is the Chromebook and your phones using the same network?

Yes...works from our phones better than hardly working at all through our chromebooks. For some reason it will just not work through either chromebook this has been going on for 2 weeks now. It's the worst it hs ever been, members since 2017 and we always have used chrome. Tech can't seem to figure things out claims its on our end but this is the only site we have issues with. Rebooted modems, clean caches, ect...ect...ect...and no resolution except just using our phones and at 50 I am not a big user of mobile devices. I's much rather just set my chromebook on the table and browse.
I mostly access through the website using an IPad. Very seldom is there a problem with startup etc. More often on the PC using the web I have hang up problems. Or if I’m on the train to the bay..
I'm on a Windows 10 laptop most times using Chrome, and it's not that bad. It does have it's moments and quirks. I also do OK from my android phone in Chrome most times. I don't use the app.
AGREED...and than Tech Support claims it on our end. Absolutely terrible!
The tools that were used to write the site were tools that were used in the 1990s. The web standards evolved. SLS didn't.
Is it just us or does anyone else find the site to be basically unnavigational of late. It seems to work fine on mobile devices but if you switch to a chromebook nothing will load. Tech support claims it on my end...lol...of course they do! I'm beginning to believe this is one of the worst sites ever to try and get pages and content to actually load, so very frustrating. If it was on my end why is Swing the only site I am having issues with. Any thoughts???
