Title Test/With Slash

No issues with the last post.

I'm appreciative that something is being done to fix website issues.

I can't replicate the "taken to blank screen after posting" error with any consistency.

The issue with the hyperlink has clearly been noted and passed on. I shared it in hopes it would lead to a resolution of the issue since two behaviors (posting to the thread and clicking on the hyperlink) took us to the same destination.

I'll post if it happens again.

<p>Ok, I reread CatchyNickename's post several times and now I understand that they are not talking about clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link, but the link above that: "<a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/viewmainforums.cfm">FORUMS</a><span style="background-color:rgb(230, 230, 250); color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px"> &rsaquo; </span><a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/viewmainforums.cfm?forumid=1003">General Discussions</a><span style="background-color:rgb(230, 230, 250); color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px"> &rsaquo; </span><a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/General_Discussions/Open_Forum/forumid_1022/viewforum.cfm">Open Forum</a><span style="background-color:rgb(230, 230, 250); color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px"> &rsaquo; </span><a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/General_Discussions/Open_Forum/Title%20Test/With%20Slash/theadid_339498/viewarticle.cfm">Title Test/With Slash</a>"</p>

<p>I don't know if that was an issue before or a new issue. That was never reported, so we never tested that. I will let the developer know.</p>

<p>The issue that this thread fixed was a blank screen after you click "Post Reply". CatchyNickname posted: "<span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px">I prematurely celebrated. I still got the error, running Firefox on Win10". I stopped reading posts after that and responded because this bug fix had nothing to do with the "Unsubscribe" link. They posted, "I still got the error", which indicates to me that they were getting some error message (which may have been a new or another issue), so I posted the question to them. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px">I have now used the "Unsubscribe" link multiple times with Chrome and Firefox and I am not seeing any issues anywhere. I am not getting any blank screens now or error messages. </span></p>

<p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:tahoma,verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:14px">If any of you still are, please let me know. Maybe try refreshing your page or clear your browser cache.</span></p>

What error?

Did you try following CatchyNickname's description?

It is described clearly: "if I try to click on the thread hyperlink above the word "Unsubscribe" I'll get taken to a blank screen." If you are taken to a "blank screen" then that is hardly the intended behavior and is clearly an error.

I can add that is not a Firefox-only problem, it is browser agnostic.

The title needs to be properly encoded when it is rendered, e.g. when/if used in/as a link - this is elementary stuff.

<p>What error? The issue was that a thread with a slash in it was sending you to a blank page after posting. There was no error message.</p>

I'm not going to continue posting to attempt to replicate the issue. I can see that if I try to click on the thread hyperlink above the word "Unsubscribe" I'll get taken to a blank screen. One of two posts also took me to a blank screen

I prematurely celebrated. I still got the error, running Firefox on Win10

There's actual effort being put into the website to fix problems! Woo-hoo!

<p>Testing. Posts in threads with slash in the title should work now.</p>

Well holy smoke it isn't kicking back an error.
