BLT, no one's calling you shallow as far as you know. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

This thread has bugged the shit out of me for a few days. Why? Because it lets me know how shallow I am after reading most of the posts. A simple pleasure for me, family shit aside, is waking up with my vanilla bf and having the best sex ever followed by Moet and a really great breakfast and more of the same. I mean there are people who are just happy with breathing, being able to get out of bed unassisted in the morning. So mine is like, WTF?

Thank you Va, I hope y'all are doing well! Yeah, I am definately in a more relaxed place. Even in the LS. Before I was one that never, ever dressed anything less than spot on from head to toe. Everything had to be perfect. I was not intentionally trying to out do people, I just put incredible pressure on myself to always be perfect, as was expected of me as a child. This Sat. we met a wonderful couple for drinks and I was in jeans, a nice top and my black biker boots. I really love those boots lol. You could tell that she was much more relaxed because I was just a girl that was there. I never understood why people found me to be intimidating, because I did not try to be intimidating. I understand now that my persona itself was intimidating. But I was not trying to like out be anyone else, I was just being who my parents demanded I be. I now realize that they were really, really fucked up lol.

This has made me happy/smile all day: I told the story of my mom, who used to call little gifts-for-no-reason "Little Happies." Now, a friend is using that term and my mom's first name on some crafty cute things she makes, gifts that are not seasonal, no meanings attached other than just to brighten someone's day. Kind of sweet.

I never said that ;). I said that I'm heading to Israel. I spoke about the weird emails that I've been receiving as a result of switching my location to Israel, but I'm not there yet. Going there for spring break.

Working with my feet up, in the three seasons room, with the snow all around me... I feel like I'm in a menagerie. Fireplace on, hubby working from home too, kids hanging out in bed. Cat pouring next to me...dogs chilling out by the fireplace.

I am in a very good, content place in my life. For me its just being. Going out with Jay in just a hoodie and jeans and dancing just to have fun. Doing what I'm doing now.... relaxing on the bed next to Jay with our puppy Cera sleeping at our feet. I have learned the joy of just being. Traditionally I have always been one that had to go. For me to sit still for 30 minutes was pretty much impossible...but I have discovered the joy in just lying in his arms or with the kids, doing nothing. It only took me 41 years...I'm a slow learner LOL

The siesta from which I've just awoken. After a very late, and enjoyably strenious evening, it was just the ticket before tonight's double date.
