It was topless Jeep weekend and we celebrated by taking rabbit’s top off, strapping the kayaks to her and spending a few hours yakking in the swamps of Pearl River.

Confused? Rabbit’s Jeep is named...rabbit.

The year before last we put in an 8' x 16' raised vegetable garden. This year I tilled and fertilized it and put a 6' deer fence around it. We didn't do a garden last year, but the year before, the deer wreaked havoc in there. Last year they almost destroyed a new apple tree we planted. Come archery season this year, I may have an arrow with a deers name it.

Already had pea pods in and this weekend we planted 6 different kinds of tomatoes, 4 different kinds of peppers, green beans, zuchinni, pumpkin, eggplant, brussel sprouts, cabbage, 2 different kind of carrots, and bordered the whole thing with marigolds. The pumpkin went into a separate area from the raised bed, as did a Stevia plant.

The Mrs planted some new bulbs and annuals, and it's a really nice feeling getting it all in the ground. Other than the weeding, the hard part is done.

Getting my new flower bed planted-took three days of turning over the soil, putting ten bags of compost and soil in, and two trips to the nursery to buy plants and flowers. It was a lot of work but it looks so good!

Going for a ride on the bike on any nice sunny and warm day. I love this time of year where we transition from bare trees to trees with leaves, and the spring flowers and flowering trees.

Congratulations, gentlemen! There's a pretty good chance my kids are genetic cul-de-sacs, which is fine with me, but babies are pretty terrific.

Thank you everyone, mom and baby are doing fine. The little fokker was 3 weeks early because Mom had preeclampsia.

Yeah #1 I was weird I wasn’t even 50 yet so I wanted something ‘cool’ so “Pops” it was. The other grandfather goes by PopPop so it was in line.

Congrats Fokkers. Three days ago was #6 for us.

The first is an eye opener. My wife asked what I wanted to be known as. I asked what she meant. She said, "You know, Grampy, Grandpa, or....". Hearing that literally made me shudder. It's kind of old hat now.

FWIW - I chose Papa. Didn't sound as "old" :-)

Is that a "cat in the hat" aka "pussy in the hat" you want. I will take one too. Wear the hat, certainly a way to get lucky. Send the free hat to every member We will know who we all are. Vanillas will not know the logo meaning.
