Silicone lube and a ball gag seem to work well with pegging. Although, the ball gag does seem to have great general usage. Don't use the silicone based lubes if recreating on a tiled surface.

It's the demographic. At the moment, I'm playing with a limited number of partners and that means a fair amount of homogeneity. When I used to attend a club regularly, I'd get asked (mostly by strangers) if I was willing to peg pretty much every time I used a strap-on in public, so I had plenty of opportunities.
