@Meadris - We already have two twin adjustable bases (2 twins = 1 king) where both head and feet can adjust independently.

Is it the fully adjustable kind? Our bed can raise the feet and can also raise each side's head/back independently. Basically acts like adjustable sex furniture:)

We bought a king size Purple mattress on the recommendation of a friend when were looking, and so far we really like it. We've only had it for 2 or 3 months so I cannot speak to the longevity of it, but for comfort it fits us both well.

@Meadris - We've slept many a night on a sleep number as the in laws have several in their house. While the Mrs likes the sleep number, he doesn't.

We bought an adjustable Sleep number bed. We can adjust the height on both sides of the bed...
Wonderful for sex!

Last year, we got an Ashley Memory foam 12” mattress that is an absolute wonder rest. Soft top and no movement once in place and I mean no movement whatsoever. Even if your partner is a light sleeper, they will never awaken from any movement if one gets up.

It’s kind of a trade off though. You won’t spill your drinks during sex, but you are also firmly planted in position without any movement or bounce, which is hard as hell on the hips and knees. Moving around is like running in sand. We moved it to the guest room for sleepers, not play, so if it is to be a play bed, nope, but for sleeping, it’s very nice.

Edit: I just checked their site, they have them deeply discounted for the holiday, roughly 60% off. Makes me wish we got ours at those prices. Good luck!

We had a unicorn. The bed we had prior was a Kingsdown. We got in 1999. It had a 20 year warranty. It was one of the last beds made that had that level of warranty. It was one of the first to be deep pocket. We loved it. It had lived its life. We called it the venus bed trap. It was firm, but had a pillow top on it, that if you got into bed, you were gone! We were happy with the 8k purchase!

We went and looked at a bunch of beds. We looked at the new Kingsdown. They are OK. They have been bought out as a boutique firm and now are mass-produced. We looked at Casper, etc. The lull, to us, has somewhat of a pillow top on it to make it soft, for a few inches, then we get the support we like. The Kingsdown's pillow top was deeper so you felt like you fell in :)

So we took the gamble with Lull on the trial. The first few nights were interesting, but after that, no back issues, no hip issues. We get a good nights sleep.

LOL we typically avoid Ikea like the plague for furniture at this point in our lives. The occasional mirror or kitchen accessory is fine but the furniture is pretty cheap all around.

@eroticamazon

What do y'all like about it? Cool sleep? Support?

No recommendations for the soft foam mattress you're after, but you definitely should probably stay away from the IKEA mattresses. They're all pretty firm, which I personally like, but they're not for everyone. I've had lady guests complain bitterly about my mattress.

Any thoughts that this might be a cunning plan to keep them awake so we can have more wild monkey sex are just lies. Lies, I tell you.

So we are due to replace the mattress on our bed. We currently have a extra deep (13") latex foam, cooling king size Serta that's going on 10 years old and starting to loose some of its support. We will be going to dual twins rather than the single king as we also have the adjustable base that let's us sit up in bed. We want to stay with the latex foam (no springs) and are wondering what folks can suggest. Medium soft to soft is preferred as long as it still is supportive.
