Happy New Year
Bump
Made it to another one. LOL
2024 has started in the Eastern Time Zone. So, welcome the new year, when appropriate for you!
Happy new year!
Happy New Year, yet again.
Not many hours left in the year. So, I'll bring this topic forward for everyone's use and pleasure.
It's been a good first half of 2023 for me. But, a fucked up, wild ride for me in the last half of 2023. Let's see how 2024 goes for me.
Happy new year everyone!
Happy New Year. We can start this year off with something amusing I found.
The year is 2033. Elon Musk is no longer one of the richest people in the world, having haemorrhaged away his fortune trying to make Twitter profitable. Which, alas, hasn’t worked out too well: only 420 people are left on the platform. Everyone else was banned for not laughing at Musk’s increasingly desperate jokes.
In other news, Pete Davidson is now dating Martha Stewart. An 86-year-old Donald Trump is still threatening to run for president. And British tabloids are still churning out 100 articles a day about whether Meghan Markle eating lunch is an outrageous snub to the royal family.
I post this message at exactly 12:00AM Eastern, January 1st, 2023. I wish you all a prosperous new year and I hope you all get what you wish for! Happy new year!
Ok... I reached back a year ago and bring this one forward. There is no sense in creating a new one, since this one is undated.
We've reached the end of another year. This year has seen the usual weird list of who's who celebrities that have died. This year has seen one country invade another country. This year has seen gas prices skyrocket. This year has seen a supply shortage of all sorts of products. This year was the great exit of employees from employers and those employees that chose to remain, follow the 'trend' known as 'soft quitting.' Soft quitting was so stupid too, as all it was was a new way of saying that you are working by the book... You are only doing what your job requires you to do, nothing more.
For me personally though, the first half of the year was tough. The second half of the year has been a complete 180 degree turn around for me. If it wasn't for having a tough first quarter of this year with being run down, exhausted for no reason and could not stay hydrated no matter how much water, sports drinks, soda, coffee and generic Pedialyte I drank, I would have never went through a battery of tests and health screening procedures to rule out things. The end result of all those tests, I found out I was gluten intolerant. From that point of cutting out gluten and separately my mental health therapist saying something that 'clicked,' life has truly turned around for me. My outlook on life is a lot better than it was; I have lost weight and dropped one pant size; I am back down to the weight I was before I lost both my full time and part time job right after each other in 2018 and became lazy and then Covid taking over the world in 2020. Overall, with my life turning around, I see things in a different light and those around me on a daily basis, see the change in me.
I've had 45 years of health issues because of not knowing of being gluten intolerant. Now, because of finally getting a proper health diagnosis, I am a better person physically and mentally. People can change, if they choose to and I ask the masses of what they want to do for themselves, to better themselves. Since the 'new year, new me' thing is so cliché, what are some things that yourselves want to see as a change in yourselves?
Wishing all a very safe and happy New Year.
