They can see the events calendar and sign up for events, a not so little benefit.

None that I know of, can they browse public pics and profiles to see who is in the area? We were invited to another ls site a while back, but there were only a handful of people within 100 miles of us, so we deleted our account.

None, especially now that those off us inclined to talk newbies through their process can no longer converse with them.

We used to do this routinely as payback for those who helped us initially.
