I swear I saw Pure Prairie League at Penn State's Rec Hall during my junior year of college - but I've searched for half an hour and can find nothing on the internet to help me determine when it was (probably spring 1980). I know we wanted to see the Grateful Dead around that same time but tickets were sold out.

When I was a teenager there was a bar that would hold "All Ages" nights so we could see bands. The first show I saw of anyone that anyone here would know Barenaked Ladies in 1989.
In November 1990 I saw AC/DC at Skydome in Toronto.

First concert was around 73-74 when I was a kid, Mom took me to see Elton John at the HIC in Honolulu (Dad was stationed there for several years in the Navy). I had to go outside a couple of times because it was so loud for me then.
First "real" concert was Journey in '79, with Thin Lizzy opening.

When was the first ever concert you attended that had a well known national touring act as the headliner? Who were all of the acts?
Mine was in December 1977, at the old St. Paul Civic center. In order of appearance;
- Legs Diamond
- Golden Earring
- Ted Nugent.
