I agree with both.
Speaking of Al Pacino, I'm reminded of his role in 'Heat'. He and Robert De Niro are a classic.

Training day- Denzel Washington once again shows why he is one of the heavy weights of actors.
Scent of a woman- Al Pacino also one of the greatest actors of all time.
Fight Club and American Beauty are great movies. There is so much to unpack in both. Both explore theme with being one’s self and the freedom that can be achieved by understanding how commercialized the “American Dream” is. Fight Club also provides a cautionary warning about becoming enamored by a charismatic personally (don't be a Space Monkey).
It’s a weird one that is kind of hard to follow. Real mind-bender.
I couldn't watch the Machinist. Violence is fine, but in movies even mild social suffering is a no go. I'll hunt down Primer though.
Also, Danvers main building is still there. They converted it to be the leasing office of the apartment complex that now occupies the land. Yikes!
Recently visited Danvers! It was also in American Horror Story. Session 9 is great. The wheelchair… shivers.
Christian Bale is amazing in The Machinist, especially the physical transformation. Another flick from director Brad Anderson that's wild is Session 9, one of the creepiest flicks in ages. Filmed in the ruins of Danvers Mental Institution before it was torn down, which really makes the film.
The legend of @good proceeds her! @window sent me your posts about single male success when I got started. Very helpful!
If you liked Memento, you may like:
• The Machinist
• The Prestige
• Primer
All in the same realm of genre, with varying differences. The Prestige is probably the least weird of the 3.
You’re back! (doing a Snoopy celebratory dance).
It's more likely to happen with books than movies, because I'm much more adventurous with the former, but both Memento and The Power of the Dog were on that line of not sure this is this for me/this is terrific.
I’m getting that inscribed on my golf balls when I retire lol
Yes! Retired Extremely Dangerous
@window… I think it was RED? Know what I’ll be watching tonight.
I liked him in Burn Notice. He’s an excellent actor. There was another flick with retired intelligence agents. Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren were in it. Can’t recall the name though.
Just watched Being John Malkovich for the first time. Holy shit, what an insane movie.
What is an example of a film that blew your mind? Or better yet, confused the hell out of you, but you still loved it in the end?
