Curious

New Orleans, LA, Us

First of all, you are absolutely right. If SLS is going to restrict us to only three options, they should be straight, bi and heteroflexible.

Secondly, this is SLS so it will never happen.

Webster defines curious as "eager to know or learn something." Synonyms include inquisitive, intrigued, and interested. So if someone is "Bi curious." they have never actually TRIED the Bi thing but rather are curious (see definition) about it. Otherwise, if you have tried all or parts of it, you are no longer curious about it and should have at least a preliminary idea of whether you like it or not. You no longer qualify as "Bi curious." In the case of those that have actually tried and enjoyed it but still prefer straight sex (the vast majority of Bi folks subscribe to this) SLS should offer the choice of "HETROFLEXIBLE." The broad definition of that is that there are circumstances where you ARE interested in same sex interaction. Doesn't mean you prefer it, only that you are open to it. We see a LOT of people who list themselves as "Bi curious." One needs to remember what curious means. If you are curious about what is in the present, and then open it, you are no longer Curious about what is in it. One can be curious about the aspects of Bi sex that they have yet to try and that would be accurate but to say you are curious and then explain that you have actually had same sex interaction and enjoyed it, takes you away from the "curious" part. That only leaves the "Bi" selection and maybe you don't identify with being Bi. Bi doesn't mean you are interested in sex equally with males and females. Webster says "sexually attracted not exclusively to people of one particular gender; attracted to both men and women." One may argue semantics but to argue the strict definition of a word is without merit.
