Avoiding weight gain during quarantine

I also skip breakfast, but I do that anyway. My typical workout is something that requires no equipment (various sit ups and push ups), so not much change there. I used to do some bag work (punches/kicks) at the gym at work, but have added some bike riding in it's place for now.

It is coming up to a time where it's yardwork season. That helps, but since we're not driving anywhere, it's a lot easier to have a drink or 3. Kind of balances out. Net result is no gain or loss.

See, 1 and 3 aren't actually possible for those of us who live alone. The rest isn't a problem (except it's breakfast I skip) and I work out every day, as usual, except at home instead of out. But my fitness level is definitely suffering due to lack of items 1 and 3.

Gyms aren't open but we have access to use it. Since the owner isn't "doing business" I see it the same as any other employee checking the voice mails on the machine, checking for storm damage, checking for leaks (the level above us is getting renovated, and the roof has issues, so it happens a few times during the rainy season).
We're at the gym for an hour most mornings, then change and bathe, then head either to work on a construction project, or go to my dad's to check on him and give him some company. We also handle dr stuff and bills and other projects here wants done.

Light brunch after the gym, afternoon snack, and a light dinner. We drink about once a week.

Naturally, there's exercise we don't do at the gym ;-)

I do something similar...

1) One drink of alcohol with dinner. Try to eat only moderate portions of healthy meals but cheat sometimes.

2) Skip breakfast 3-4 days a week when I run. Running gets me outside. Did 5 miles on a trail near the house yesterday and saw not a single other person.

3) No personal training for obvious reasons but do dumbbell weights a few days a week. Got an incline bench coming soon that I ordered 3 weeks ago.

4) Working more than ever. Hopefully making a difference in the battle.

The wife and I are not fitness models to begin with, so we have implemented a proactive plan to help avoid weight gain during our quarantining.

1 - About 9 am (we both have it on our calendars) she walks into my home office, freshly showered, make up and hair done, sometimes in lingerie, sometimes in nothing but heels and jewelry. We then spend the next hour or so doing a combination of stretching, yoga, and cardio-vascular intensive exercises ;-)

2 - We skip lunch completely. No snacks and no meals except breakfast and dinner.

3 - Some days, we repeat the exercise session again, mid or late afternoon. We do try to change up the routine a bit, to work different muscle groups of course!

4 - No drinking alcohol before dinner, period! At dinner we both like a glass of wine, then usually more wine for her and beers for me afterward.

This works out very well for us with no real difficulty. The only downside we had was totally skipping lunch and not drinking until after dinner, but we moved to having a bit earlier dinner which easily solved that issue.

We are now having dinner at noon.
