That was a test of SpaceX's super rocket called Starship. They've had a lot of problems with this rocket. It is unrelated to the Falcon booster and Dragon capsule that was successfully launched Saturday.
American human spaceflight is back!!!
I heard there was an explosion at the launch site yesterday. A camera caught the fireball as it happened.

Son got a room in Daytona. We did not see a thing. Bummer
We can usually see launches from our driveway.
But not this one. Too many clouds.
This is wonderful, fantastic, spectacular - I forgot to set an alarm while working in the yard. I'll still watch it but in actual time is always the best.
Who watched the launch today? After 9 years, American astronauts launched on an American rocket from the shores of Cape Canaveral. Amongst all the bad news of a virus crisis and urban unrest, this was literally up lifting ! Go NASA ! Go SpaceX!
