I saw an ad from a local man that wanted to take pictures of girlfriends or wives. I love the idea of my wife posing and being seduced by him as I watched.
FYI: Top rate photographers do indeed edit with their clients sitting next to them. That is strange statement that they wouldn't. If you shoot well it doesn't take more than a minute to adjust a photo. If you are taking weeks to edit then you have done a poor job on set up and execution.
To the point of the sd card: it will help you keep things discrete and not worry about what could happen.
Oh, you'll get "plenty of offers" all right. Even hinting that you're looking for a photographer will have every guy with a camera sending you tons of messages with messages like: "I have an expensive camera that takes great pics and I'll do it for free!" Ugh. You get what you pay for.
Tip Number One: Expensive gear doesn't make a great photographer. I've seen absolute garbage shot on a $9000 Canon and beautiful art shot on an iPhone. High-end tools make it easier for a professional to do their job, but they don't give the user any special abilities.
Ask around and find other couples that had paid for professional photos. Find out if they were comfortable with the shooter and how satisfied they were with the handling of the photos. I have to disagree with an earlier reply about the way the photographer might edit on the customer's memory card—a top-quality professional would never edit your photos in front of you and may take a few days (but hopefully not weeks) to finish editing and processing the images.
Personally, I start working on them as soon as I get back to my editing station and have at least a few finished that night to share with the client, then I usually finish processing all the best photos within three or four days. Notice I said, "... all the best photos." I never give out photos that aren't up to my personal standard of quality, even to a paying client. If someone tells me they need to have every photo from the shoot, they end up looking for another photographer.
Typically, I will shoot in a natural location (we have plenty of forest in central Florida) or a hotel. If the client wants, we can shoot in their home, but most homes don't look like a spread in Architectural Digest and people don't realize just how much "clutter" is lying around that will ruin the backgrounds of photos. Studios are fine if you are looking for posed headshots or fashion, but unless the photographer has a LOT of different props to work with, you're going to get images that look like all his/her other clients. I find that offering something unique to every client is a lot more rewarding and a lot more fun for both parties.
Finding an actual professional in the lifestyle isn't impossible, so don't give up before you've looked around. Most people wouldn't ask another lifestyler to cut their hair, but for some reason, they are perfectly willing to have some yahoo point a camera at them when they are at their most vulnerable.
As a photographer that loves taking pics of couples, I can assure you that finding the couple is the harder part. If you let it be known on your profile, I'm sure you'd get plenty of offers
With LS pics for couples it is always a good idea to vet whoever you get to take the photos. If you don't trust them 100% don't follow through. Typically people in the LS are you best option. When doing shoots we always ask people to provide an sd card and do any desired editing on the card. That way we don't keep any of the photos in our possession. We have also had them transferred to an encrypted drive if that was something they wanted. Just be sure the photographer will meet you where you are and make sure you are comfortable. Meet with them just like you would any prospective date and talk about what you want and see if you are comfortable with them. Just because they have done some great work doesn't mean that you will be comfortable with them. If you aren't comfortable it will definitely come through in the photos.
It helps if you all have a solid idea of poses, themes, and a location for the shoot. Sometimes a studio may be what you are looking for but, if you have a nice hotel suite it can work really well for a shoot. If you have a good idea on exactly what you want it will help the photographer figure out how much time and equipment they will need to bring. Be sure to ask what equipment they have and would be using. If they only plan on bringing a camera with a single flash you may want to request that they bring more lighting or go with another option. Lighting will make or break your photoshoot.
Good luck and have a great time.
Definitely beautiful hot lady who like to pose... love to see more from her
