Thanks for the input! I'm always awkward with new things, especially this one as I'm socially awkward(husband) and so is my wife to an extent but she handles that type of stuff better than I do. We're just ready to get the first time going and things will be easier after that I think, it's kinda like being a virgin again
What to do if you're in a dead zone?
Pcbguy mentioned Hot Dates. In addition to the other comments, have you tried posting one for yourselves? If not, it's worth a shot as you've got nothing to lose.
I travel a lot for work and check out groups, hot date “events” and clubs. Then attend when in the area. You may want to do similarly but do a weekend getaway after identifying suitable club or party or event(s), signing up, and if possible stay in venue hotel or one others recommend. Clearly there are many “dead zones” but thankfully more that are very active. Do your homework, plan, and enjoy!
PS you may want to focus on NOLA
Searching for couples listed on SLS finds over 250 within 50 miles of you - and I'm sure there are many singles as well. In addition to looking for potential playmates you should look for profiles that have been around for several years and have a few certs - then send a polite email asking for their advice about local events.
If you are ambitious you could organize a meet & greet or house party ;-)
Either way it will take more work than if you lived in an area with numerous advertised clubs - good luck!
We seem to be in a party/ club dead zone. Should we just stick to searching profiles? My wife really wants to meet people in person at social gatherings. I'm sure there are local things happening but not sure if they'd be posted online, like we'd have to know someone first. We are in the north Mississippi area
