Times are and have changed but this is still information to look into. Make 100% sure you are following state and local laws when you create your group especially if you plan meet-ups and parties (something as simple as a cover charge can change it from a party to a brothel under the law if sex happens on premises depending on the laws where you are). Keep in mind any event you host puts the responsibility and liability on you. We live in lawsuit happy times so be sure that you are not going to be held accountable if someone overindulges at your party and the worst happens because they decide to drive home. BTW this is true for anything be it lifestyle or not. Oh and yes I know it is a bit of a downer but it surprises me how many people have no clue about this aspect of things when they decide to do something.
Looking to start a new sex group
We did exactly what Holly suggests. Start a group, create an event under the group - if you make the event public it will automatically be on the hot date/event calendar.
That way you get all the tools of email lists and tracking RSVP that you don't get with just posting a hot date.
You can create a new group on SLS and then invite prospectives to your group. It would work best if you had something like a meet and greet planned and posted to the group as you got started. The hot date calendar may still work well for helping you all get started as well. With your group you all have full control over who you get to invite or accept. You can focus on a certain type of interest, recreation, etc. The biggest thing is to have fun with whoever shows whether it is 2 couples or 20. Other couples can also help you make new connections.
A friend and I are interested in starting a sex group in our city. Seems there isn’t much here that we know of for swingers. Any suggestions as how to get one going??
