Hello Friends~

I operate a personal training company in Bergen County NJ. If clients don't have a gym or equipment in their homes, I have all the essentials that I bring to them depending on the workout that day. I currently train out of my garage using all of my equipment so I'm pretty lucky since all the gyms are obviously closed.

I wonder how gyms are going to be able to re-open, if at all. Will they only allow a few masked members in at a time? What about the hygienic aspects? Social distancing? The fitness industry is going to change.

If anyone would like any pointers or training tips, feel free to reach out. I've been personally training for over 30 years and I'm certified in a few areas, including ACSM CPT designation.

I was a collegiate athlete. But that was 30 years ago.

I started and 'ran' a successful youth cross country club. But that was 20 years ago.

Then I trained and coached a travel soccer team, but that was 15 years ago.

Then I took up judo ... still doing that. That is a badass sport. Keeps you very strong and balanced but does not help drop weight or slim you down.

I live in the Westwood, NJ area and am just starting in the lifestyle. I need to get back into a running training regimen (not jogging, running) and body weight only core and flexibility exercises and I want a training buddy. Male or female. Just need someone to help train and which will keep me on the straight and narrow through the shitty days of repetitive, difficult activities ... but oh man, the results.

We're looking for a similar couple for training a day or two in the Casselberry / Red Bug / Winter Park / Deltona / Sanford areas. We are experienced fitness trainers including boxing / cross training (NOT CROSSFIT). We just recently converted our garage is a full gym and it's fully equipped with all the needed tools to train, such as Assult Bike, Assult Rower, power rack, barbells, boxing rack / bags, battle ropes 2 inch and 1 1/2 inches, kettlebells, etc. You get the idea, not really looking to make this a 7 day a week training thing at my home as we enjoy our training by ourselves, but it would be nice to mix it up a little with like mind people. Our road work is done on bridge over passes such as the one crossing over Redbug road or 436 / Aloma or the over pass in Ovedio as well, we do sprints over to the top and sprint back over....roughly about 1.5 miles worth of interval sprints followed by some starching and we're done. Overall workouts are intense and not for those with heart issues, epilepsy. We're in our 50's and this the we train. Feel free to message....couples only.

i do cardio, core and weights, but am open to yoga, dance or other classes. see my other workout post for details on my current workout.

10k at 12 to 14 min/me, depending on hills and sleep quality.
longer possible on weekends, 90 or more on Stevens creek trail or other bike trails.

If anyone is still looking for a workout partner, I'd like to suggest CrossFit. You probably won't find a regular "workout partner" there but you will find people of all sizes and shapes at various fitness levels. Everyone will be doing the same workout though perhaps some will be doing a scaled version of the workout depending on their fitness level, so you will have someone (indirectly) "pushing" you to do your best.
