I have been told on more than one occasion that I will be a candidate for knee replacements. One surgeon described the noise coming from my knees as a bowl of Rice Krispies. I've often times wondered how functional I will be after that is done.
Had both knees replaced in 2021. Started sex 2 weeks in but he was on top and really didn't put pressure on my knees. After 8 weeks top was a bit awkward but only because putting knees down feels funny.
Scars aren't gross but I did try to keep them lotioned after 6 week release and they healed pretty well. Hot tub was out till 6 week checkup
We know several who have had these.. including our daughter caused by a major auto accident.. do the rehab, make it a daily routine and yes you will be fine with 3 months.. plus!
Your beauty is not the obvious scars we all have but the inner you... smiles, fun and living life !

I have had three major surgeries over the last year for breast cancer, so my answers are based on that.

Pain varies by person. For us, I think we had sex a few weeks after my first surgery. You find ways if you want it bad enough.
"2) will it be gross to other couples? When will the scar heal so it doesn’t turn off others?"
Nope. I guarantee you, other people have had joint replacements and other surgeries. Millions of women have had c sections. Breast augmentation, reductions. Many are in the lifestyle. People have scars. You can use silicone scar patches to help the scars fade, but really the only thing that works is time. I personally use bio oil, and my scars look really good a year out from my first surgery.
"3) the hot tub is a great place to start the games. When will that return ?"
I was told no swimming, baths or hot tub until I was fully healed, meaning no broken skin. So maybe a month? It really isn't that long.
