To me what is a turn on in reading those stories is the scene set up. I don't need to read about the sex because my active imagination takes off from the scene being set up. I like reading erotic literature which has everyday like scenarios that most people could find themselves in that results in amazingly hot sex. Medium length with time setting up the scene is the best for me. YMMV
If they are about 8-12k words I can read them. At 15-20k I have to make time to read them. I dont need to read about how the silk dress undulated as it slowly slipped off her body to form a silky ring around her feet. But I do prefer more than the dress came off and she was pounded.
A main issue with most is incomplete thought development accompanied with choppy grammar.
I also prefer actual stories.

Prefer something in between. Usually the 10k words or less are not usually very good. It usually shows in the ratings. If the stories are 40k, don't have time for that. 20k is about all we have time for.
I plan on writing some true experience stories. I see some extremely long ones in the stories section. Do most of you like the long ones and want as many details as possible. Or do you prefer the short and sweet story that simply gets the point across?
