Legalization of prostitution doesn't eliminate sex trafficking especially when done in the developed world. Look at Amsterdam and the amount of rape, drug addiction, and trafficking that goes on there.

I wholeheartily agree countrycpl. Take it out of the hands of the slavers and give the sex workers independence.

I believe there are some "pro's" out here. I noticed that after coming back to AM as an 'Attached Male' that within an hour ibreveied a half dozen emails from ladies that presented themselves as being between 22 and 35 years old, wanting my cell number or having me send an email to there 'personal' emails. Spammers, prostitutes. They're out here. Just have the block them when we sense something's not right...

I worked as a professional dancer for 15 years in that 15 years I had several companies that do parties hire me. They hired me only to start the party going they want somebody who can get up on stage and it be a party instigator and they're not the only ones. There is no sex involved they don't hire you for that they simply hire you to come in and help get the party going so if it gets slow they can boost it up and help as I said biker clubs do this everybody does this. I'm a little old now a so that doesn't happen so much. But having good looking women who will get up on a pole and get other women having fun is priceless and I think these clubs really need that strippers know how to get a party started

I found this thread amusing. It's just an observation but it would seem that any professional attempting to solicit clients on a swingers site or at a swingers party. would be about as successful as selling ice cubes to Eskimos. But I could be wrong

I'm a single guy and certainly understand both sides of this argument, sorry, I mean discussion! I believe that single ladies bring in more single guys and couples than the single guys like me......... so it's a business decision. It's like "ladies' night" at a bar, their data indicates that ladies bring in the guys. I believe it's true and don't mind paying extra. However, I do think some places really escalate the single guys' prices, but again: It's up to me if I want to pay it and attend. This discussion does make me think, maybe that's a good thing. There's no doubt that some profiles are skirting the bounds of solicitation, my earlier comment was addressing the post about parties and clubs not charging the same fees for SM and viewing that as pimping out the women in attendance. I saw a new free member profile today for a 23 year old SF claiming to love older daddies. Most likely of the sugared variety. SLS had already flagged the profile so I couldn't confirm the intent.

I’ve read a number of profiles, that seemed like veiled prostitution. Not just from unicorns, but also from couples.

Yes, I know neither of those are outright solicitations. But as the OP asked, they are VEILED solicitations.

The pimp/prostitute relationship is one of control and to a degree an employer/employee agreement. Pimp offers prostitute for sex at a price, you pay the price you get the sex. Prostitute gets paid / pimp takes his cut. So how does this equate to a hotel party/club setting? First there is no guarantee of sex. You paid an admission fee but no still means no and you may leave with the same blue balls you came with, tough shit pal. Second even if there is sex the person granting you the sex does not get paid a dime for it so they are not a prostitute hence there is no pimping being done. You may as well say any vanilla bar that admits women free but has a cover charge for the guys is also pimping out the women. Take this bullshit to the politics page and rant about giving people free stuff and them being pimped out, you'll find some agreeable fools there.

My husband and I swing together and separately at times, we have an open relationship. So I have gone to clubs at times by myself. I've personally appreciated the fact that they let me in free. I don't feel like they are pimping me out. I'm bi and have met some couples I've enjoyed that way. Swingers sites and clubs certainly must not be profitable places for prostitutes. lol

Let me see if I follow. Our local club, on week nights, let women in free, couples $10 and single men $30. So, the single women are being pimped out, but the couples are not? What if it were $0.01 for a single woman? Now she is paying a penny, so no longer being pimped out? $1? $10? What price to get in means you are no longer a whore?

Folks, just remember, when you are getting something for free you are not the customer. You are the product being sold. Ladies; when a club let's you in for free but charges couples and single guys that club is just pimping your ass. There are instances in which I wonder if a club or hotel party is just a veiled open sourced voluntary prostitution arrangement.

I do not think anyone expects someone operating a brick and mortar club to NOT charge. Heck I expect them to turn a profit.
Most of the griping is about so strictly curtailing access for free members on this site that newbies are essentially shut out.

I am a Lifetime member so it does not have any effect on MY access here as long as I do not wish to contact a free member.

This site was our entry portal into the LS. After we had poked around a bit and had some email contacts, we ante'd up.
What we have her , now is like charging admission at the door of the supermarket.

I received a email from a unicorn right here on SLS. She was a paid member who lived in my area and had attended my club one night. She sent me the email talking about wanting to get together. But instead of asking for me to reply to her back on SLS email she listed her KIK account and requested that I contact her that way. This was way back before the rule of not listing any other means of contact on our emails. I have not seen or heard from her again. I went ahead and replied from my email and did not reply by using KIK since I do not have a KIK account anyway. I found it unusual, what was wrong with communicating with me on here. I also want to mention to a comment about clubs owners being about money. How are we suppose to pay our light bill. Its expensive to run those hot tubs you know. Pay my lease for the building and pay for repairs and the list goes on and adds up. Yet I am suppose to operate my club at no charge for you? Am I required to provide a place for you to come in and hope to get laid by someones wife or whoever and not even give me a tip at least to cover my expenses? Do you eat up pretty good at the club? Did you get plenty of Ice for your drinks?Why is that? Is it because I too am a swinger? Is it the way we word our charges to come into our club? Off course its some couples hire for those swing clubs to invite and attract single man .that's how they make money.

The system that was in place allowed for LIMITED contact in the form of rationing emails per week/day.

As a paid Lifetime member I resent that I am not allowed to contact a new /free member if I so choose. We spent a few years on the list posting to the forums occasionally (which now is not allowed), and occasionally contacting someone, which never panned out.

Then we met one wonderful couple who showed us the ropes and gave us the added drive to commit to the LS.

Now, there is a single gentleman near us who appeals to my wife. I am game, but he is new and a free member. That is a problem. This WAS a great place to break the ice. Surely there is some way to allow breaking the ice and still withhold some real value to encourage paid membership. For us it was the ability to message without quota and to post in the personal and private galleries.

If the goal is really to avoid the possibility of implication in sex trafficking, I do not believe that charging for people to meet for sexual relationships is a very practical way of handling it.

On Craigslist one couple would ask for money to meet for swinging. Dont know if anyone paid them or not. On SLS we never have been approached by a single or couple for money for sex. The clubs all want money for ? and look at women like my wife as a woman who will make them lots of money because she love men and sex. Are they prostituting out the women who come to the club so they can change single men to get in?

What used to be so much fun is now all about money.
