Another loser

Sorry you have had to go through with this. It happens, and I have had an experience where the wife of a couple even gave me her cell number (which I was able to verify independently as real) and then she and hubby ghosted me when I reached out to them on the number they wanted me to call them on, as well as the message board of SLS. Then they completely disappeared from the SLS site for over two months. Who knows what happened, and as you said, "life happens" but it would be nice to even hear a "We're having second thoughts" or at least acknowledge they were not interested.

The problem I see with allowing folks to post negative reviews or identify no shows and flakes is that some will use it maliciously. And SLS doesn't want to have to police that or insert themselves into the situation.

Here's the scenario I'm thinking of. Someone reaches out to you and asks to meet. You say you're not interested - whether politely or otherwise. That person doesn't take rejection well and posts you as a no show. Now what is SLS supposed to do? They have no clue if it's accurate or not and who to believe in the dispute.

I promise that scenario will happen if they allow something like what is proposed here.

I kind of wonder what the supposed intentions of these dates are. Are these single guys coming for straight play with the Mrs, or are these bi curious guys? I think for us about 97% of the bi curious guys we've tried to meet have flaked. I won't attempt to meet bi curious guys. Need to be straight with no intention of MM play, gay or bisexual.

The "meet halfway" thing is something we pretty much never do these days. It's hard to justify when you have frequent LS parties within 30 mins or less from your house that you always get to play at, and many times, meet and play with new people.

We certainly don't mind driving up to a couple hours to meet up with someone we know and like, but a LS party will always seem like the more practical and logical choice for our available play time vs an unknown person or couple.

Hey, we had 2 others about 3 weeks ago that said they were going to meet us at a club. NO SHOWS! This appears to be the new norm in the lifestyle.

I did not belive they were real, but I showed up at the motel 1 1/2 hours away from me.
I do not understand why a guy wouldn't show up.

Just make a note on your profile (it's private ) and you will remember the ones that bail . I have a page list and I keep adding . Maybe 1 out of 30 I talk to work out . That's fine

This has happened to us more times than I can count. The best are the ones that communicate all the way up until the meeting point then don't show up at whatever park, bar or restaurant you're waiting at.

One we have had same... and will block them and move on.. their loss!

One more fake or person who doesn't get how to properly communicate in our swinging world! The word will get around about who he is.. maybe a WTF post and name of city.. people will get idea!

You can give certs if it’s good but you should be able to post if canceled or a no show too. Save others time and money for rooms and what not.

I think SLS will not allow us to post the names in the forums. That is why I suggested contacting me directly

@onehorney...... I think you are on to something about passing along information about dead beats (no showers)!!! It has happened to all of us at one time or another. Why don't we all start posting in the open forum of the people (couples, single males and females) who make a dates and don't show up.

@Onehorny .We have had that happen to us before.If we had a chance to play with you we would be there for sure.

Not real surprised, but hate it for you guys. We live just a few miles from Asheville, but never play here because of too many experiences like that. Our location is listed as Myrtle Beach because we have a getaway place there and is where we do 99% of our playing. Around home, we've had the best luck with business travelers stopping through for work or the night. No shows suck worse than anything, so we get it. Hey....at least your sense of humor still works with the Gomer Pyle reference! Better luck next time.

So been chatting with a guy for a couple of weeks about how he wants to get with us and all about the hot play he is interested in. Last week he had to cancel because of a sick kid. Hey we get it. We all have been there, and it is winter. So today was going to be the day. Poof no response to my message to him this morning. Surprise, surpise as Gomer Pyle use to say no contact and of course no show either. He is in the Asheville NC area so if anyone wants to know his profile name feel free to message me and I will share it. Hate to have someone else waste their time like we did.
